"Kramer (now Reston) was very attentive as they were going through the process of installing our pool. And their landscape crew (Cru Cutters) was fantastic - I would use them again for any landscape work. But once they had all of my money and the project was done, it went downhill. The "pool college" is a joke. They quickly showed me the equipment, but I didn't have any understanding of the maintenance involved. And since I didn't have an understanding and they didn't work through everything step-by-step, I didn't know the right questions to ask and I didn't realize I wasn't being taught everything. They really need to give out a manual or something in writing with step-by-step instructions and diagrams. As issues came up, I taught myself on YouTube how to do regular maintenance. But anyway, at the end of the 20-minute "pool college," they realized they hadn't given me the sump pump that came with the package. I was told they would drop it off later. A year and a half later, after multiple reminders, I still don't have the pump. They did my pool opening and closing last season and opening this season. I thought pool opening would involve a check of the equipment. After questioning this, I was told they basically just pull back the cover and throw in some chemicals, maybe clean out some leaves. After a season and a half, I realized my pool cartridges were filthy and I had no idea because the gauge still read "clean". That's another thing I taught myself how to do on YouTube, and I had to order new cartridges. I had no idea that those needed to be checked even if the gauge says "clean". After all of that, this week my heater sprung a leak near the anode. I called Kramer multiple times. No real person ever answers the phone, it goes to different voice mail systems. I left messages and have never gotten a return call (3 days later). They obviously don't want my business, so I've contacted another company, who is coming out today to look at the problem. I don't think I'm expecting too much for a company to either answer the phone or at least return a message within an hour or two when it involves a serious maintenance issue. I spent a LOT of money with them on this pool, so I wanted to be loyal, but they are obviously not loyal to their customers, so I will go elsewhere. Update: Now our heater needs replaced, after less than 2 seasons, due to negligence by Kramer. We may also need to replace the salt cell. Our new contractor indicates that a big chunk of their business is fixing the messes Kramer makes. DO NOT USE. If I could change my review to 0 stars, I would."
"Reston's service exceeded our expectations they came in under budget and finished 2-3 months early. The quality and care we received was a 10 out of 10. Very, Very Happy homeowner!"
"Was hired by Cru cutters also known as Reston Construction Company to provide services for over 200+ customers. Work has been completed and it appears that this company has absolutely no intent on paying thousands that are owed. It’s really unfortunate that management was very responsive and accessible before the work was completed and now are nowhere to be found. Reston’s shiny new web page is up with all of its subsidiaries and they are very proud to tell you about Ethics……. ‘We practice what we preach. Integrity is a fundamental core value at RCG. We are unwaveringly committed to conducting ourselves beyond reproach in all matters, adhering to what is legal, moral, and ethical.’"
