"Amazing job, very respectful, quality work will hire again"

"I purchased carpet from the Lowe's in Miamisburg, OH on January 25, 2019. This Lowe's location uses ProFlooring as their contracting company for installation. So, on February 15, 2019, two employees from ProFlooring were put in my house to install carpet in the basement and first floor stairs areas. They were in my home for approximately 9 hours from approximately 9am-6pm (as time stamped by my entry camera). During this time, I had to leave my home for work errands, etc. and thought that my home would be safe given that these two men had both ProFlooring and Lowe's behind their names. However, I was SHOCKED to discover that my closet had been rifled through and that six gold rings had been stolen by the worker working on the steps ( we know who it was but I can not name him here for privacy reasons). I immediately contacted both of the workers, Lowe's, and ProFlooring. Philip Schmidt, initially reached out to me after I contacted ProFlooring about the incident. We talked on the phone and he initially told me that he was so sorry that this had occurred and that he would make it right either by getting my jewelry back from the worker who stole them or reimbursing me for their value. He even went as far as to say that he would give me more that their value "for my time and trouble". He asked for 48 hours so that he could discuss the breakdown of the reimbursement with Lowe's, and his boss Donna Vicarel and promised to call me back. After hearing nothing from Philip for several days, I went to the Lowe's where I purchased the carpet. I spoke with Bill, an assistant manager who initially seemed helpful and said that he would be my point of contact while sorting out the details of the incident between Lowe's and ProFlooring. Philip and I spoke shortly after my trip to Lowe's. Philip had completely changed his tune and refused to be of any help. He went as far as to tell me that "I wasn't his problem because I purchased the carpet through Lowe's not ProFlooring and that he didn't have to help me" This just shows that he wanted to push this incident on to Lowe's. He also tried to tell me that someone else stole the rings. However, this is not true and there is evidence of who was in my home that day based on videocameras I have at the house as well as the history of the thief himself. ProFlooring accepted the job and the payment from me via Lowe's. How can he have the audacity to say that I am not a customer simply because he does not want to deal with the hard truth the ProFlooring made a huge mistake and will not do anything to fix this problem. Furthermore, I asked for correspondence to be in writing and that Philip provide the information for the worker's proof of insurance and bond as they say their workers are insured and bonded IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE CUSTOMER.HE REFUSED BOTH. Philip has gone MIA on this whole incident and he needs to step up to fix this situation cause by his employee and poor discretion. In my experience, ProFlooring does not care AT ALL that they 1. put the thief in my house, 2. that I have incurred a large loss at the hands of this theft 3. that this incident has been hugely stressful and made even worse by the appalling horrible customer service of ProFlooring"
