"I would not trust this company in my home. Their employees tried to steal my bikes. I had bikes on a rack on the back of my car and I left it parked in the back of a lot. When I returned there was a Kircher van parked right next to me despite the lot being mostly empty. When I looked at the bikes I could see someone had been messing with them, loosening parts so they could try to get the bikes off the rack. Fortunately they were locked so these people couldn't get them off and put them in their van. Don't trust these thieves. Edit: I was at the Englewood MetroPark on the Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend."
"One of their employees witnessed a car accident I was in in the company truck and instead of stopping to see if we were ok he drove right by us and totally ignored us. Not a good look for your company and won’t be using you ever because of that!"
"Their contractors(Jim, Josh, John to name a few) are extremely courteous and considerate. They work hard and pay close attention to detail. I'm a disabled veteran using the SAH grant and they are very familiar with the process, making it smooth and convenient(thank you June[financial accounting manager]). I've compared them to Dayton Construction, and Bilbrey and chose Kircher for the amazing customer service and design done by Carrie."
"Kircher did a good job remodeling both of my bathrooms. Note that, by default, Carrie will design impressive bathrooms that will add value to your home. If you want something less flashy then you'll need to tell her to tone it down a bit. You want child-height cabinets, not adult height, if anyone in your family and friends is less than 5 foot 8 inches tall. Reaching the top of the sink is not the problem with the adult height cabinets. The problem for short people is stretching over the adult height sink to reach inside the medicine cabinets. I gave the whole garage over to Kircher to use as a staging and sawing area. Plan on doing that too if you want the fastest and best job. Construction resulted in a lot of dust, which spread throughout the whole house. (Both bathrooms were pretty-much gutted down to the studs.) However, Kircher laid down tarps over the carpet to protect it when they were hauling heavy or dirty stuff. They didn't damage or stain anything outside the work areas. The estimated completion time was 5 and a half weeks, and they met that time despite a miscommunication over the desired size of the walk-in shower. It wound up being shrunk back down to the original designed size, which is what I wanted all along. It turns out that *tile* is what takes the most time. Demolition was quick. Plumbing, drywall, cabinets, and paint were also quick. The tile work seemed to go on forever. I let the tilers work one Saturday so that they could catch up on their schedule. The rest of the construction was done while I was at work. Kircher only touched one bathroom at a time so I always had a working bathroom. The water to the house was only shut off for short periods of time while I was at work. Find your house's main water shutoff valve before Kircher arrives! There are some tiny defects in the finished work. 99 out of 100 people won't even notice them. I'm darned picky and the imperfections don't bother me. The workmanship is fine for an ordinary house. If you have a multi-million dollar mansion then you might want to hire a different contractor who is much more expensive. (Kircher's prices are about average for the area.) One of the new LED light fixtures went goofy a few weeks after the job was completed. Kircher took care of it under warranty. (I'd picked a fixture that they don't normally use.) They also fixed a couple of plumbing problems, that weren't really their fault, under warranty. The cost of the whole job wound up being about $200 above the original price in the contract. On one hand, Kircher charged a couple of hundred dollars for electrical work, on top of the estimate, and I didn't expect that charge. On the other hand, they did some other work for free that I fully expected to be charged for. I think it evened out. I will call Kircher the next time I need this kind of remodeling done."
"My kitchen situation was a dysfunctional disaster until John came up with a great new design. His crew did a wonderful job transforming the space and never left a mess!"
