"Loved this experience. I initially went to see the 19th century cemetery that's located alongside the chapel - the cemetery was pretty cool, but the chapel was amazing. I was lucky enough to have a gentlemen waiting outside in the parking lot for a load of mulch to be delivered. This same man was the guy who did regular tours of the church, so what started as an old cemetery visit, turned into a history lesson about the Mariemont Chapel. My favorite was learning that the roof was made entirely of stone, and that the stone had come from a 13th century monastery in England which had been destroyed by a storm. In the 1920s, the chapel's architect purchased the stones and had them shipped to Mariemont!"
