"It's a shame this trail is so poorly looked after. It could be a really beautiful trail, but I would avoid it now as there are people living in the woods around it and there is trash everywhere. Sadly, local fisherman have also littered some spots of the creek shore with forgotten lures and hooks, so even accessing the creek from the trail is an awful experience."
"★ Popularity: Locally known. ★ Size/Location: Small. ★ Trail difficulty: Easy. ★ Business Hour: Dawn to dusk. ★ Scenery and views: Views of a creek. ★ Parking: Spacious. ★ Accessibility: None. ★ Amenities: Benches. ★ Condition and cleanliness: Somewhat clean but in need of repair. ★ Safety: Very uncomfortable, signs of vandalism and squatters. ★ Crowd levels: Almost empty. ★ Reservation: None. ★ Expense: Free. Today, I went on a little adventure and found a hidden trail in the not-so-bright part of town. It was a paved path that stretched out to about 0.85 miles with barely any elevation, making it a great spot for those who want a good workout without breaking a sweat. As I walked along the trail, I couldn't help but notice the cool creek that flowed alongside it, adding a refreshing touch to the trail. The trail was also home to some beautiful wildflowers and trees that made it a picturesque spot for a quick stroll. However, my joy was short-lived as I soon noticed some signs of vandalism and disrepair on the trail. Information panels had been tripped off and scribbled on by some unruly new age hippies, and walls on one side of the trail had also been marked with graffiti. It was a bit of a bummer, but I tried not to let it affect my mood. As the trail continued, it led me through a densely wooded area that was filled with various plants. Although the lush greenery was breathtaking, some areas seriously needed to be trimmed down and the grass mowed. I also noticed that there were only a few benches at the beginning of the trail, making it quite inconvenient for those who wanted to take a break mid-way through. To park my car, I headed towards the parking lot in the park, and luckily it was almost empty, so I found a spot with ease. As I continued along the trail, it eventually led me through an underpass, and that's when things got a little creepy. I stumbled upon what looked like a homeless camp, complete with a tent and a pile of trash nearby. Although the camp looked quite organized, it still made me feel a little uneasy. Walking through someone's living space was not something I was comfortable with, and the thought of getting jumped sent shivers down my spine. Overall, I don't think I'll be heading back to this trail anytime soon. Unless someone clears up the mess and homeless person's camp, it's unlikely that this trail will ever get any better. It's a shame because it could be a great spot for those looking for a peaceful walk or jog."
