"Now that my child is officially unenrolled in this school I finally feel comfortable speaking out about the way this school treated and effected my child and myself. She started here in kindergarten and stayed for 1st grade. We only stayed for 1st grade in hopes that the new year would be better. My child would come home crying and self-conscious from this school. They are super snooty and if you aren't up to their standards, student and parents included they go out of their way to make you feel like an outcast or feel unwelcomed. Her previous teacher Mrs. Marsh especially. This teacher would make comments about her lunch telling her she needs to pack something different, she would pour my daughter's food out onto the table just because she knew that would make my daughter feel uncomfortable from not wanting to eat her food directly off the table and just made nasty rude comments to my daughter from kindergarten into the 1st grade. And her head teacher Mrs. O'Conner was aware of these things and pretended nothing was happening. I also talked to the assistant principal and principal about these things, no action was made but instead, somehow blame was placed on myself and my daughter... In kindergarten a child threatened to choke my daughter and my daughter trusted the teachers enough to tell them and they made my daughter feel super uncomfortable and coursed her into thinking she was mistaken due to the fact that the child in question was related to one of the teachers in the school. When I asked to speak to the teachers about it, they ganged up on me and had 2 teachers and the principal talk to just me alone to make me feel intimidated. In that talk, they lied to me and said the child in question no longer went to that school. Lied about who the child was when my daughter clearly knew the child's name they coursed her into thinking it was a different student. Overall, this was a horrible school with horrible staff. My daughter is bi-racial and I think she was being racially profiled. There was no reason for their actions besides the fact that I am a young single mother so they took advantage. I am so happy my daughter got out if there and gets to thrive and finally be happy. Please do not send your child here."
"I would highly recommend Our Lady of Lourdes if seeking a school with a great tradition, teaching family values, and commitment to a quality Catholic education. I have recently joined the athletic program as a coach, and in a few short weeks, I can see first-hand the type of students this school is preparing for the future. The new principal has implemented many robust changes, that in just 2 short years, has demonstrated positive results. I have met many of the faculty and staff, and can corroborate their commitment and passion for spiritual and academic growth."
"Our Lady of Lourdes is under the direction of a new Principal since 2016. She and her staff prioritize the importance of an excellent education in a Christ centered environment. New educational ideas, like the Idea Lab and 8th grade Honors Humanities class, have been developed to encourage children to think outside the box and reach their academic potential. We value the teachings that take place at Our Lady of Lourdes both inside and outside the classroom in a diverse atmosphere."
"Clearly a disillusioned and impractical administrator speaks volumes about the quality, or lack there, of the facility itself. Expecting a six year old boy to not act out in the manner that he did is unreasonable, but to suspend a child of six for three days for pretending to shoot a bow and arrow is ignorant."
"Since the Principal of this school is a politically correct fascist who would suspend a six year old kid for pretending to shoot a bow and arrow, I don't believe anybody would want to subvject a healthy young boy to its policies. Actually it is the principal who should be suspended."
