Bearcreek - Hillgrove Cemetery & Mausoleum 172 North Union Road, Dayton, OH 45417

"My mother's entire side of the family is buried here. My grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and both of my aunts. We have plots for the rest of the family here as well. The level of disrespect on the care of this property is disgusting. I went up today to clean my family's graves with a weed eater and leaf blower so that my 60+ mother does not have to. I also cleaned a few others off because they were so bad. When I saw the grave of a veteran/ General in the u s military with weeds taller than the headstone, it really upset me so I cleaned it. Local residents should not have to ban together to come out and clean the area, and that is what has happened this week. The level of disrespect to the dead and those that love them is disgusting! We all hope that you make a plan of action to clean things up or sell it to someone who will."

"This is the worst I’ve ever seen this cemetery. I went to leave flowers on Memorial Day and the weeds were taller than the headstones! I’ve lived next to this place growing up and it always looked nice. Who ever is in charge of it now needs to be replaced real quick! It’s sad enough to visit a cemetery if you have loved ones there but this makes it so much worse! I don’t even know who to call to get some help out there!"

"Absolutely terrible! I went to visit my family's graves as I often do, I walked right up to a Whiskey bottle leaning against my 13 year old sisters grave; I'm furious! How disrespectful can you be? The grass isn't mowed and there's a grave freshly done that looks horrible because there's a huge pile of dirt to the left that hasn't been moved. How awful for this person's family to have to look at this! What is going on in this graveyard? I spoke to the office and their equipment is being stolen etc etc. I asked have you informed the police? Have you placed up cameras? What are you doing to change this environment?"

"The newer section is easy to walk thru and read the headstones. It is always well-maintained. The original side is not easily mowed so the grass is a nuisances, causing a lot of mosquitos. The plus side though is the peaceful surroundings including roosters on an adjacent farm"
