"I attended this church for several years. I taught Sunday School, helped to found a sewing guild, and served at Vacation Bible School, among other ministries. When I wanted to join the church I was told no. There was a lot of tension, and I left soon after that. I was raised Methodist, my grandfather was a Methodist minister, but apparently I am not good enough for Germantown Methodist. The Methodist slogan of "Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors." does not apply there. It's a sad day when a church turns away those seeking God. I pray that Germantown Methodist church will be judged the way they enjoy judging others."
