"Awesome museum with lots of historical artifacts and personal effects from WW2 and other wars. So impressed with it for such a local museum and very inexpensive to visit. Loved it and plan to go back as one day not enough to read everything worth reading."
"An amazing place!! Take the trip to this Memorial. There is so much to see, read and be part of our Veteran's life. We were greeted with open arms and warm hearts. They shared their memories and those before and after, from Civil War until today. Local history of Veteran's. And Veterans who gave their lives. Rooms and areas depicting our Veteran's. Go early or plan on several days to see it all. Leave a donation please... $1.00 admission or free for us Veterans. Great people volunteering, sharing and giving tours, giving and educating the public. And, if your lucky you can sit and chat with several Veterans. We were able to talk with John, a WWll Veteran who served on the USS Arizona, he has an area and an actual piece of the Arizona that was donated! A great place to experience our history. All are welcome!"
"The Veterans Memorial Museum Foundation (VMMF) is a must see for all those who love history, especially history associated with US Veterans. Displays tell stories that allows visitors to connect with each Veteran to include artifacts donated to the museum. The museum curator is a walking encyclopedia whose passion for his fellow Veterans is evident the first time you meet him. The museum is blessed to have Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf Wars occasionally pay a visit to share stories about their experiences. When you plan a visit make sure you have a couple of hours to spend in order to let it all sink in. The VMMF is a historical gem not be missed."
"BEST MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM AROUND! This museum is a MUST SEE for anyone interested in not only military artifacts and reading material, but in the PERSONAL side of military service! The staff there are very knowledgeable on multiple aspects of the service life and include veterans who served from WW2 through the Global War on Terrorism. Sections of the museum are dedicated to every conflict and include weapons, uniforms & accessories, letters and personal anecdotes. A key feature is that local area residents are represented in the museum-something not always found in some larger or more "flaunted" locations. Recommend at least a couple of hours (MUCH more if you're a military history enthusiast) and engage the staff in Q & A-if one doesn't have an answer, someone there will. This museum is well worth the trip and will not disappoint!!"
"A wonderful museum for the entire family. If you haven't visited the museum you will be very surprised at the amount of our local American Heroes stories. There's so much history packed in this Museum. Make sure you give yourself enough time to enjoy the entire Museum. You can tell how much dedication and love has been put in the museum in sharing so many of our local heroes. No words can explain the heartfelt happiness in knowing we can share our military family story forever."
