"I've had the unpleasant experience of dealing with the same hateful older gentleman at this location twice now. Have had no issues with any other Budget location I've rented from, but I would much rather pay a little more for Penske in the future than ever deal with him again."

"It was a big mistake to rent from them. They were nice, but NEVER answered their phone. I found out when I turned the vehicle in that it was noted on the window that the bearings were out and the drop off location said it never should have been rented and should be retired, so basically, we were unknowingly in danger the entire trip. Additionally - You CANNOT pump gas directly into the vehicle (Ford E350), you have to trickle it in from outside the tank which takes about 10 minutes or so depending on the location. The headlights were completely out of alignment and not illuminating the road unless on high, and not very well even then. The interior light in the storage area was off so I had to buy a lantern to load up at night. There was a big pile of sticky goo in the middle of the floor of the storage area. The steering wheel alignment was off by about 90 degrees making for an uncomfortable drive. Rain dripped in on both doors, so we had to stop driving during the rain. The cab was EXTREMELY drafty and noisy. The vehicle got about 4mpg and was extremely expensive to fuel across country. The shocks were very, very poor, even when empty making for a jarring ride. The check engine light was off most of the time. I called dozens of times, but no one ever answered the phone at this location. Customer service was not very helpful either. Under no circumstances would I rent a Budget truck from this location ever again!"

"I have a commercial account in Candler, North Carolina and the folks that run that budget are fantastic! We were doing a job in Tennessee so we picked up our truck and candler and returned it two days later to Knoxville. When I returned the truck I went to the desk to get my deposit back. The lady working at the desk took my credit card and then informed me that my rate was wrong. The $302 I paid was not enough. She charged me $474 additional dollars for the same contract that was promised at $302. I asked her to call candler and she said that I could do that. I said okay I will just don't charge my card the extra until we talk. Unfortunately she already charged it without my authorization. While I was questioning the manager another customer came up to the desk and basically told me to be quiet and let him handle his check out. So the manager basically let this customer accost me and did not resolve my problem. This budget is absolutely terrible you cannot trust them and you would do well to go somewhere else."

"Great experience. I had rented a truck from another location in town. Unfortunately that other location couldn’t provide the trucks as they were down for maintenance. Rick called and was able to work with me to find the truck I needed. Although it took a few days and fortunately I had a flexible schedule, I was able to get the truck I needed. This location provided reasonable and satisfactory service given the circumstances. I will return next time I need a truck."
