"Stayed here Saturday 08/10/24, last minute booking after another local hotel called a few hours before check in and told me they overbooked their rooms, sold our room and would have to split our family up into two different rooms. Most equivalent hotels in the area were sold out. The St Joseph area is not cheap to stay in on the weekend, I was not familiar with the Spark brand and I did see the price before I booked in the HH app but figured this property was boutique and was going to be worth it for the price. Paid $315 ($350 with taxes) for one night (2 queen beds) which was cheaper than the suite we were supposed to stay in at the other place. We stay almost exclusively at Hilton properties being a Diamond member. The facility itself has been recently remodeled. Room was clean, fresh and quiet. We used the pool and it was in good condition, towels were not stocked so had to ask the front desk staff to get some. The real disappointment was the cold breakfast offerings. Cold cereal, yogurt, bagels (toaster available) fresh fruit, milk and juice. I checked the price for a stay this Saturday and it is at just over $200. My opinion, the value for price is not worth it. I have stayed at Hampton Inns with better amenities including hot breakfast. I would not recommend staying here; only based on price."

"Loved our first experience at a Spark. The room was very clean and updated, the price was right, beds were extremely comfy! (Like sleeping in clouds without sacrificing support.) The people were very, very nice. Highly recommend! We will be back. FYI - no microwaves in the rooms but available in the lobby. Also, be sure to adjust the temp of the fridge. Our food froze just being in there overnight. Learn from my mistake."
