"Reading these other reviews I proceeded cautiously by trying to call ahead to understand more about what I would be getting into, in trying to dispose of a small amount of household recyclables. The general number could provide zero information as to what I could expect and suggested that I load up what I wanted to recycle and take to my local facility. When I asked for a local number to see if they could provide more information, I was informed that they don't have a phone. I find that very hard to believe, but understand they didn't want to give it out. I suspect that the disposal fee for cardboard recycling will be ridiculous, if I actually went in to find out. My guess is that they just rely on people paying whatever it is, once they have gone through the effort of loading it up and taking it there. I cannot think of another reason why they would not be up front with information about the service they provide. I will be recommending that my local community drop them as a service provider, since they are going out of their way to not service the community in which they operate. There appears to be much better options anyway."

"Expensive. Unreliable. Poor Communication. Closed my account after a 30% increase in price from previous year. They still billed me the next month for $472. Told me it was a mistake but it would take another month to credit me back. Month later they only credit back $376, because picking up containers cost $100. Other providers are cheaper and will actually collect your trash on schedule."

"DO NOT ever go with Republic Services. They do not give you a true cost. I signed up for trash service and was told it would be $66 a quarter. NOPE bill has a 45% surcharge added on. Bill went up to $100. Wish I could rate lower then 1"

"I’m so upset with this company. When I initially signed up for services I was quoted an estimated $45/month for 1 trash can service. All of my bills so far have been ~$135. I get that some fees weren’t included in the estimate. But for the fees to make the total THREE times the initial estimate is ABSURD. I never would’ve signed on for 24 months if I knew this company was going to pull this."
