"This is a late review. I was out fishing on Lake Michigan on 06-02-2023 and got this photo of the Ludington South Light."
"They said fireworks at 10 thangs still ain’t go and it’s 1030"
"It was raining pretty hard when we stopped here to walk. But, we had rain coats and hats, so it wasn’t that bad. Lake Michigan was not calm and very wavy, so we couldn’t make it out to the lighthouse. It’s about a 4000 foot walk out to the lighthouse from the parking lot. The parking lot has minimal spaces, but it was not crowded when we were there."
"Great walk to the pier with excellent views of the inlet and across to the other light tower"
"Ludington's South Breakwater is about a quarter mile longer walk than the North Breakwater. It's three-quarters of a mile from the parking lot on South Lakeshore Drive to the light or 1.5 miles round trip. The South Breakwater is not visited as frequently as the North and so many times you're the only person on it, which can be eerie for some and perfect for fishing! The walk provides an alternate perspective of Ludington's North Breakwater Light, Stearns Park, and the Badger Car Ferry. If you're in the Ludington area and you've walked the North Breakwater before, give the South a try next time!"
