"Dr. Michael Boxum was my family Doctor for approximately 6 years before I had a stroke during an echocardiogram at Porter Memorial Hospital on 3/4/2020. Dr. Boxum was at the hospital that day and was called back to my room by the sonographer when I went unconscious. He immediately accessed that I was having an allergic reaction and treated me with a steroid. It was the only drug that I was allergic to. (Clearly noted in my medical records.) It was not an allergic reaction, I was having a STROKE. When I regained consciousness, Dr. Boxum was at the foot of the bed and told me that I had just had a stroke and was waiting on a room for a transfer to ICU. The stroke was never treated. (TPA) Long story short, after 10 days in ICU and another 2 weeks recovering and learning to walk again in an inpatient therapy unit, I was given reason to get my hospital records and I found out the hospital had falsified my medical paperwork. The inpatient stroke was omitted from my medical records. When I brought the falsified records to Dr. Boxum, he told me to get legal help and he would say what actually happened. When I returned with advice from a lawyer and asked Dr. Boxum to put down in writing what “actually” happened, Dr. Boxum’s last words to me was to get over it and I was not allowed to return to the clinic. I filed a claim with the Indiana Department of Insurance and that process is done. Dr. Boxum has remained silent about the truth of what happened at the hospital and the medical panel sided with the hospital and corrupt doctors. A total corrupt and bias process that denies you constitutional rights of having a speedy trail. It is nearly impossible to get a medical lawyer. I have been to a therapist and been diagnosed with PTSD. The stressor being “severe medical abuse”. I am on disability and unable to work. My worse injury not coming from the untreated stroke, although severe, but from the mental abuse inflicted upon me by Dr. Boxum and other doctors. I suffer everyday, living with a nightmare that Dr. Michael Boxum created. Dr. Boxum is not who he portrays to be. I seen the very ugly side of him. I will continue to fight with my last breathes to expose his felonious behavior and that of Porter Memorial Hospital. Avoid this doctor! If you are a patient of his, get your medical records. He is totally incompetent and has a severe disability when it comes to writing the English language. Your records will be completely illegible. I have never been exposed to any one more corrupt than Dr. Boxum. Beware."
"Dr. Boxum is a great doctor, and a great person. He's always been very pro-active as it pertains to my health. And he takes the time to listen to me. Just a great physician."
"I've been a patient of Dr. Michael & Linda's for years. Unfortunately I'm not to fond of Dr. Linda. She gives off this weird vibe. So I always prefer Dr. Michael over Linda. I love how straight forward he is. Michael makes it feel as if I'm talking to a friend instead of a Dr. I can be blunt and honest about things and not feel judged. Nursing staff is hit or miss but most of the time their pretty sweet. My only issue with the office is - it is super hard to get medications filled. Most of the time I have to make a "follow up" appointment just to get the Drs attention. But all in all I really like it there."
"Clean bill of health? More like ACUTE LEUKEMIA. I was given a clean bill of health by Dr Boxum. With that being said I had to call several times to even get the results and when I did all I got was "Doctor says your good just make sure to take your antibiotics." I didn't feel like that was correct based off of how I was feeling so I went to get a second opinion. Turns out I have an acute leukemia (AML) and definitely was not alright. I am currently sitting in a cancer ward and will be for the next several weeks as I receive aggressive treatments. If I would have listened to Dr. Boxum I would probably be sitting in a morgue instead of fighting for my life. As of now I have a fighting chance and WILL NOT be returning to his office to receive medical care."
"Getting your basic healthcare needs taken care of is impossible. They take 364 days off a year. (You have to call every month and ask are they on vacation the day it fills) They are only available limited time in the morning 11am-1pm….They DO not take messages and often your prescriptions often don’t get filled. You can’t even leave a message. There is no contact if they’re out of the office. ZERO. Wait until their vacation is over and get ******"
