"I would give it zero stars if I could. The ER is a joke. They have no business keeping patients they cannot care for. Withholding life saving medications. Nurses chatting away about what they watched or did lately but takes over 30 minutes when you press the call light. I highly recommend if you want to be cared for and diagnosed you go anywhere but here. I didn’t have a choice according to the ambulance. I asked for supervisors several times, none came. I was discharged on Tuesday, and today is the following Monday and I got a call from the wrong department. Way to find out what happened to your patients."
"My ER visit on Friday, Feb 23 2024, was the worst experience I have had at your hospital. There was an issue finding my name in the system, though I was admitted overnight earlier that week. It took 2 hours for them to sort it out. Since it was busy, I was set up in a hallway bed. The most frustrating part was 2 different doctors telling me different things. I had no idea what was going on with my care for the 5+ hours I was there. Since I was in the hallway, I could hear all the issues going on, and I don’t believe I was the only patient having those problems"
"I had hip surgery 3 weeks ago and issues are still unresolved. I called the Friday before my operation and I was told everything was green lights. Upon arrival the surgery was almost canceled but for my daughter’s tireless efforts. The pre-approval had not been obtained by the hospital. They stated, “Happens all the time” and were unconcerned. My daughter had to make all the phone calls and chase all the paperwork. She was from out of state and could not return for a different day. They did offer for me to sign a legal agreement. I wouldn’t agree to pay Cash. I would be responsible for 140k. The insurance company was the only help my daughter had she took care of this without assistance from the hospital. After the procedure, they ran me through physical therapy while I was still heavily under anesthesia. To this day I don’t recall anything they said to me. My daughter spoke up about how I should wait and the nurse told her this was common practice. They repeatedly tried to shove me out the door even though there was no evaluation that this was safe. They kept telling my daughter I was ready to go home, but in reality, I was still knocked out from the anesthesia. I could not return home due to the stairs at my home. This did not matter they made me leave anyway. I ended up at a friend's home past 3 weeks and have still not returned home. Physical Therapy was arranged to be at a facility when I had been told not to drive, so my daughter had to arrange for physical therapy to come to my home. Medical equipment that was required for my discharge and listed on the paperwork was not provided to me. I had to borrow what I could and purchase the rest. My daughter made a comment that stands true, the only one who showed up to do the job that day was my surgeon and he was great. All these issues were vocalized to the hospital after numerous calls that evening. They have made 2 attempts to return these calls over 3 weeks. This issue needed to be resolved promptly and has no impact on the hospital so no more telephone tag as of late. I’m still not home. Surgery and recovery have been safely ongoing although I am not home. The lack of concern regarding, pre-op, post-op, and discharge planning or any concern for the impact of this on the Family and others was dangerous and unprofessional. These issues need to be and should be reported to the Indiana Department of Health to improve experiences in our community."
"Dr. Font and his Nurse were wonderful as always. Only issue we had was a very rude and nasty ultrasound tech which we spoke to management about. Im not normally one to voice a complain but she made the experience of my first anatomy scan for my baby terrible. I left shaking and crying which is not normal for me. However, management was willing to address."
"PFT done today, registration was quick and easy - Jessica was very helpful. Sabrina H performed my test and she did excellent! She was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She answered all of my questions and explained everything in a way I could understand (I have little medical background). The entire department was well kept and organized, and everyone I met from the front desk in Respiratory to the manager was very friendly. Great experience for a test I came in nervous about."
