"This is the last time I will use Budget/Avis or anything this company is affiliated with. The is absolutely the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I waited 2 hours to get my reservation. They were taking people walking in before helping the people in line. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with!!! I wish I could give 0 stars. Pay extra and go to uhaul, enterprise, ect. Other companies value their customers this company does not care one single but. You get what you pay for I guess."

"If I could rate 0 stars, I would. They double charged me, did not give the hand truck rental, and charged me a late fee when the truck was returned on time. They also do not do after hours drop offs, which I tried doing a day earlier. Spent an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. Save time and money, go elsewhere."

"I definitely should’ve read these reviews beforehand because the story line is the exact same. I reserved a truck online far in advance and then I received a voicemail RIGHT at closing time that there were no trucks available for my move. I’m appreciative they warned me before arriving but I wish they would’ve contacted me before everything was close to avoid scrambling around to find another truck at the last minute. I’m still waiting to hear back from customer service but I received mixed information and not confident the agents are taking my concerns seriously."

"Do not give this place your business. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I reserved a truck weeks in advance for a cross-state move. I received a confirmation of my reservation 2 days prior to the move explaining that everything was good-to-go. I showed up to the store and was told there was no truck for me. The rep told me she called me twice and left messages on my phone prior to this day to let me know there would be no truck available, yet there was not one single call or voicemail on my phone as I sat there and went through it with her. So instead, I had to go next door to UHaul who thankfully was able to supply me with a moving truck immediately (skip Budget and go straight to UHaul...the price difference is worth it to ensure you’re not stressed on your moving day). To make matters worse, this Budget store never cancelled my reservation and so I was charged $75 as a “no show fee”. Customer service refunded it, but nonetheless it was a huge oversight on the Merrillville store that caused massive headaches. I should have paid far more attention to the 1 1/2 stars this place has. It is clearly no wonder they are rated so poorly."

"The reviews are all true. I schedule for a truck rental today 5/18/2019 a week in advance, they called me at 10am stating they don’t have it. I called customer service they told me they will try to find a truck and never did. They are cheap but very unreliable especially the day of your moving day. Uhaul is a little more pricey but it’s worth it and guarantee a truck instead of being in a tight bind like this. Don’t do it. Don’t fall for the cheap price and unlimited miles."
