"Excellent experience! The ladies were so kind and professional, the atmosphere classy and comfortable. If you need a mammogram, go here!"
"I have been going to Regional Imaging for about five years now for my annual and diagnostic mammograms. It’s no doubt a stressful thing to do for me. Prior to coming to regional imaging, I was going to a breast center in a hospital. Waiting up to a week for results was very difficult for me. So my doctor recommended I go to regional imaging where I would get my mammograms read while I waited and told if I needed further testing and even given further testing while I was there. It’s been a pleasant experience for me. Not only is the staff always super friendly and positive, but they educate you. They help you understand your body and understand your situation. Angela is always so sweet when I call and arrive, and Carly is an angel who eases me and treats me like a human and not a test subject! I appreciate their genuine kindness. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
"I get my yearly exam at this wonderful office. Everyone is professional and very nice. I can’t say enough how at ease I am during the exam. I am always treated with the utmost respect and care. It is easy to get into office and so nice that it is not in a huge hospital. Price for exams are exceptional compared to hospitals too."
"Today, I went for mammogram and ultrasound, which I scheduled per doctor's order. The mammogram was performed. I waited to be taken for the ultrasound. The ultrasound tech came in waiting room to inform me it is better to spread the tests out over a 6 month period. She then proceeded to reschedule my ultrasound. I expressed my concern for waiting 6 months for the ultrasound screening, which would make a year and half since prior ultrasound. Erica, the ultrasound tech, informed me she's never seen anything detected on an ultrasound that was missed on a mammogram. I was taken aback by her statement due to the fact that both my doctors have ordered additional screening via ultrasound due to dense breast tissue. She proceeded on with directing the conversation towards rescheduling my ultrasound. She never once asked if I'd be ok pushing it off 6 months, and just stated the doctor's order would still be fine 6 months from now. Erica knew I was uncomfortable waiting, but dismissed my concerns. I pulled up my records in my car, and I re read my doctor's order, which clearly ordered both. I informed Erica I was fine coming every 6 months for ultrasound in addition to the yearly mammogram. I wasn't fine skipping today's ultrasound. She was dismissive while she stood there grinning and shaking her head side to side. I came back into the office and informed the receptionist I had an issue with today's visit. I explained once again I wasn't comfortable pushing it off, nor did I appreciate an ultrasound tech making that decision to dismiss my concerns and push it off 6 months. The office administrator, Kiayona, came up, and I once again explained my issue w today's visit. I restated. I'm fine with coming every 6 months but not fine with skipping today, making it a year and a half if I wait until May. Erica stood there grinning and arguing she didn't say that she stated she's never seen something detected on ultrasound that was missed by a mammogram. Then she said she did say it but blamed it on me for how I worded it. The admin Kiayona stated that I was scheduled for the ultrasound today, so let's do the ultrasound. I watched both of them interact. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional on Erica's part. I stated this is a breast clinic, and the customer service should be top-notch, along with a certain level of sensitivity. I was now tearing up because I was uncomfortable and wanted to leave but wanted to complete the doctor's order. The admin, Kiayona, took me back again to change into a gown. The administrator apologized for what just happened and said Erica will apologize as well. Erica, the ultrasound tech, then after some wait came and got me to perform the ultrasound. Imagine how uncomfortable this was for me. No words were exchanged other than, take your breast out, put your arm up, and here's a towel to wipe off. I laid there thinking all of this was completely unnecessary and dismissive and insensitive. No acknowledgement from Erica on her rude, dismissive, insensitive nature to not even ask if I was comfortable waiting 6 more months. It seems someone's pride and ego kept her from recognizing her insensitive behavior. I walked out, stopped by the administrator Kiayona, who now changed her statement to...I apologize for the miscommunication. It was not miscommunication. I clearly came in for my scheduled ultrasound, with a doctor's order for the same. The order was clear, as was I. I clearly stated I was fine coming every 6 months to everyone there, but I wasn't comfortable skipping today. Mammography can be as accurate as 98% in a fatty breast, but sensitivity can drop to as low as 30% in women with extremely dense breasts, which is why supplementary screening with ultrasound is an important aid in finding breast cancer. Screening ultrasound is effective in detecting mammographically occult cancer in women with dense tissue. I am already researching a new facility for my future appointments. Haley, the young lady receptionist, put in a lovely 5-star review to offset my review."
"Incredible service alongside exceptionally low costs. I've been going to IRIC for three years, for both preventative and diagnostic testing, and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderfully they treat patients. They are pleasant and caring when they take phone calls, schedule appointments, and care for people, who are sometimes arriving with a worrying referral. Again today, I arrived to get multiple scans, and was met with exceptionally helpful and caring staff. From Angela, Erika, and Monica, to all the other staff, I am so happy to have found a low cost facility where I can get diagnostics done and be treated humanely. Many thanks to the staff at IRIC, you have once again made my day better just by being you!"
