"DISGUSTING is my best word to describe the irresponsible actions of his choices. First and foremost school closures do NOT HELP OUR CHILDREN OR COMMUNITY. Mr McDermott….where did your children go to school? How are you revitalizing our downtown district? Looks like an eye sore and how can you put the restoration of downtown before our children? Rethink your profession seriously all of this is a joke. With a raise in property taxes….who’s pocket is the money for the residents of this community really benefiting? You want more residents but can’t accommodate the ones you already have. Taking bus services away and closing schools does not hardly seem beneficial for new residents let alone the ones who have been loyal to this community and taken pride in being here."
