"Nice city park..I wish they would take care of the pond better for ice skating or bird watching...and the ash trees took a huge hit with the emerald ash borer beetles but still some good trees...update 2023... I think the city sold the park to the DNR and now it's not taken care of at all... The pond, or lack of, needs cleaned up of debris and weeds and made nice again"
"Aweful. Equipment is falling apart. Yet they remodel other parks in the area. This is downtown? Or is it? They’ve removed everything that was historically appreciated by residents of this downtown area. Firework display gone from this park. Road construction terrible. This area sure has gone down the drain in the last thirty years. Shut the basketball courts down. No splash pad here. But the claim is made they are remodeling downtown? What’s the deal Mr. McDermott? Is only your area of residency and other areas of importance? The delay with downtown is pathetic! This eye sore of a park that’s supposed to be for kids shows residents what your values are. Guess you adults didn’t have much a childhood. How sad! The little pond …..why not put a bridge and bring this park back to life? Make it more homey? The idea is to attract families, and ppl to enjoy the community……"
"Was a nice well developed park with great things for children to do and adults to enjoy"
"This park has two different areas to play which is cool. One for bigger kids and one for smaller. But still not really toddler friendly. Also wasn't very clean. Not my fave park, but in a pinch...."
"This is a great park to sit down and relax in the middle of nature."
