Reviews of Carlson Oxbow Park
"Amazing fishing spot. All kinds of beautiful fish to catch or just throw a little food and enjoy watching them swim about. Little Calumet river is just over the levy to the south but the fishing in there sucks unless youre looking for grass carp or bowfin. FISHERMEN BEWARE!!!! DNR does patrol here from time to time and WILL ask for your fishing license. Only 4 stars because theres obvious evidence that homeless people sleep on the picnic tables at night and people sometimes leave trash everywhere because they don't know how to appreciate nice things. Other than that, solid spot."
"Always a nice place to walk and just enjoy the scenery. Explore nature and find different animals. Very peaceful and never more than a few people be there at a time the times we went. I wish they'd do a better job with some of the trails, you can't go through a couple of them. But other than that this is a nice place to exercise or just go for a peaceful stroll. Herring, ducks, geese and a few other animals you can catch."
"I love walking in this park because of the animals you can see. Better to go before sun down. There is a dock on the river walk and you can watch a peaceful sunset with your significant other. Don't forget the Deet spray for bugs."
"I found this a delight to walk. It has a variety of wildlife. I saw a lot of wildlife. Dog friendly park."
"Very peaceful. Great scenic views with wildlife. Clean and maintained."
