"This place has gone downhill since they bought out Erneys. I stopped by this morning for my fifth and final time. The gentlemen working the counter had three people ahead of me, and I witnessed him explain how he doesn’t know how to do the three different services the customers were wanting. I reluctantly approached the counter with a mortise lock, needing a new skeleton key. Not surprisingly, He fumbled around the shop, looking for a handful of keys. He returned with a comically large of skeleton keys and asked if I could leave the lock with him. I offered to sort through the matching skeleton key, which he politely obliged. Once I located a key, He informed me that he not only could not make a copy, but could not tell me when a new key could be ordered nor how long it would take to get there. In a world where products are relatively at our fingertips, service is what sets businesses apart. If you’re looking for a lock and key business that stands out. This isn’t the one.
