"It's a cult I be thinking the pastor before the one that they have now is in jail for messing around with children they only talk about the missionaries that are overseas the cool thing about them is that they have a full orchestra and bells they come and pick you up and drop you off they serve us donuts and other types of food they had a barbecue for the congregation not long ago they celebrate holidays with fun things to do"
"This organization’s practices disgust me. There are no Black people in church leadership, yet they send busses to the south side of Chicago to bring largely unaccompanied children to church. Aside from the white saviorism on display, the church has a serious history of child sexual abuse that thrived in the secrecy enforced by church elders. Watch Let Us Prey and do not send your kids there unattended."
"When I was 16 and a half years old, I was offered by their peoples to go to their church in Hammond and I went because I haven't gone to church since I was little. The experience was fun at first but then it became insane, annoying, boring, and exhausting. These people keep going door to door and place to place to make them go to church over there (EVEN THO HAMMOND IS EXTREME FAR FROM MY AREA) and even tho I made 2 friends in that church, I've been ignored and social isolated by almost (not every single one, almost all of them) the entire church community and little kids and really annoying, ESPECIALLY on the school bus. They did buy a church near the Kimball Brown Line last fall, but it's literally the Hammond church but in the actual Chicago city, but I'll give em credit, the Albany Park church is better but come on man, come on. I honestly don't want to ignore the people who keep calling and texting me to return over there even after I graduated weeks ago, but I plan on going to a new church once I move to a new neighborhood or in the suburbs, or I'll just have to practice faith in other ways possible."
"This is a good church with some funding that looks like it went into it,it's large they provide free food in the morning and it's different every Sunday, they provide a FREE way to get there buy bring there bus every Sunday to everyone's home who want to go church on Sunday.Once your done with the morning brunch on the 3rd floor though the elevator you go down to the first floor to get to the auditorium which is the big church and had out the back door to the bus to take you home once your finished. This place is really large but the people on the bus and in the church is very good at communication after a few Sundays you know where your going and what two do.I personally learned that religion doesn't take you two heaven, believing Jesus and following God will get you to eternal life.I feel very welcome as Christian especially given what they taught me there and is welcoming to ALL.go there is no regrets I often don't like church but this one is a exception and the first time In YEARS I finally went back."
"I attended here for multiple years, and if I still lived in the area, I would continue to do so. The pastor preaches God’s Word unapologetically, and the people are eager to learn. In a side note to the negative reviews on this church, if you’re planning on going and think that this church, due to it’s size and legacy, will be perfect and right in every way, don’t go. This church is full of imperfect people, and Satan has been trying to destroy it for many years. There have been many failures by people who knew better, and I include myself among them. My own testimony has involved straying from God’s Will in my life, despite being raised in a Christian home. But that’s the beauty of our God, He is ready to restore and forgive, and He loves imperfect people. So, if you’re looking for a place to Grow in Grace, and to serve the Lord among imperfect yet sincere Christians, then this is one of many places to do so."
