"So I decided to give a Mexican made Fender Telecaster Player Series a shot. The guitar is no doubt a great buy at slightly over $600.00 (including a discount from Musician’s Friend) but it came totally unplayable. If I tried, I could probably use its neck to shoot arrows which translates into the action being extremely high. Obviously without the proper setup and adjustments, it’s impossible to intonate the instrument. Because I’m a person who isn’t exactly gifted with patience, I needed a professional to do the job for me. I had no idea about the very existence of Morpheus Music until I came across the contact information for the store while researching guitar repair and setup shops in the area. To make a long story short, I called Morpheus Music and Bill (the owner) told me to drop off my guitar whenever I got a chance and he would take care of it. Which I did. I picked it up a couple of days later (the Tele was all done within 24 hours but I couldn’t make it to the store because of prior commitments). Now, my Fender Telecaster is a whole new guitar! Low action set perfectly with no buzz. Obviously, the neck is straight. The strings don’t feel like barbed wire anymore and the intonation is right on the money! I highly recommend Bill and his store for all of your guitar repair and setup needs. I believe that Bill is also operating a recording studio and gives guitar and bass lessons. Fantastic place, excellent service and all that packaged into a small local shop like in the good old Rock’n’Roll days. A trip back in time to when small businesses were the heartbeat of America.
