Dr. Heist's team is unavailable during any hour they might say they're open, cannot schedule you for an appointment, and do not utilize modern amenities such as MyChart, online bill pay or prescription refill requests. It's like a doctor in the 80s but somehow less convenient."

"Great doctor if you can get in to see him. Expect a 2 hour wait once your in the waiting room. If you need a refill, non are done electronically. If you call for a refill staff is usually rude and unaccomidating. I have been a patient for over 20 years. This is a new attribute to the office. The phone is usually off the hook, so have a decent urgent care as a back up."

"While Dr. Heist is a very good doctor that meets the needs of his patients with great care, his office staff makes you want to pull out your hair. With 8 to 12 people bumbling around back there at any given time you would think that things would run fast and smoothly but sadly that is not the case. No matter what time your appointment is, be prepared for a three plus hour wait. My father is a disabled veteran in a wheelchair and every attempt to try to make his life more comfortable has been met with rudeness and the run around. When trying to get authorization for a gel overlay for his hospital bed(which the doctor did authorize and we just needed the office staff to contact the medical supply company) it took over thirty minutes of office assistants running around sending me back and forth until finally the office manager came out and accused me of trying to circumvent the doctor before someone finally made a simple phone call. Plus my father has no transportation of his own and must rely on the county bus and the office on multiple occasions has forced us to come back just to pick up prescriptions and forms needed for assistance, charging separate fees each time. When already feeling down in the dumps because of an illness you should not be forced to deal with the frustrations and attitudes that we have had to endured from the petty dictators that run this office. While I would recommend the doctor alone, I would not recommend this office to anyone."
