Upon contacting the office to schedule an appointment, I was asked by a receptionist who identified herself as Nor to provide my medical ID number over the phone. This raised red flags, which were further exacerbated when I received a text message from a different number than the office's official line, requesting screenshots of my medical card. While the text claimed affiliation with Prime Health, I found this request highly irregular and unprofessional. As someone who prioritizes privacy and security, I was dismayed by the lack of appropriate protocols in place. While Dr. Malik may be a competent physician, the handling of sensitive patient information at his practice is a cause for concern. In light of these experiences, I have chosen to seek care elsewhere. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Dr. Malik's practice to implement stricter security measures and uphold the trust and confidence of their patients in the future. ********************************************** Update: Yes, I was truly concerned but this seems to be a common practice. I've reached out to two other providers who also requested my ID number by telephone. However, they did not request for me to screenshot the front and back of my card to text over to them.
