"I’ve been going to Monroe Medical, Doctor Varcarcel, Elaine and their staff for almost 20 years and I have never had anything to complain about. The staff is always very nice, do their best to get you in on time if you get there on time, and even times when I was late they still managed to get me in without delays. Elaine is the best, she’s been there as long as I’ve been going so she knows me very well and does her best to help me whenever I need their help. Dr. V always takes time to hear my complaints, he never rushes me and not only deals with my medical issues and problems, he also helps me to deal with personal matters as well. He has no problem referring me to another physician if he’s not able to help me, and he always follows up on my lab work, results, and advises me accordingly. I trust Dr. V with my life, in Gods hands of course, and feel very comfortable having him as my primary care physician which he’s now been for almost 20 years. I started seeing Dr. V in 2004 when I moved to East Windsor driving Tractor Trailers, retired he’s still the best in my book. Best Wishes to him and his staff."

"I should've checked the reviews before I made an appointment. The provider "diagnosed " me just by interviewing me, no examination. She wanted to prescribe antibiotics even though I had only one symptom, that could've been related to a dozen other conditions. I checked. When i insisted on being examined, but asked to go to the bathroom before the examination she told me it can wait. What??? Of course, I went anyway. I won't take antibiotics just based on assumption, so i asked for a lab test before i take the antibiotics. She reluctantly agreed, but didn't know which vile she should use. She talked to me like I was an idiot during the entire appointment. I went to see a real doctor 2 days later, was examined and told that her diagnosis was wrong. No antibiotics needed, just a topical cream. Besides the medical incompetence demonstrated by this provider, it wouldn't hurt if she took care of her frumpy, unprofessional appearance."

"Unfortunately, we decided to use this medical office for our immigration medical exam, and ended up wasting almost a month in order to even get the form filled up. Not to mention the part that we are still going back and forth with them on lab bills (its been more than 3 months), that personal from this office claimed, when we were scheduling, that in case you have insurance will be covered, then you can imagine how surprised I was when we got two bills from Quest Lab for almost $1300 each for lab work. Went back to them and they "fixed it", and then again sent bill to me since I dont have insurance coverage, and exact same amount to my wife that have medical plan. Not to mention the part that we had to go and take bunch of vaccines that non of other people that we know ever were made to take and obviously pay for them, because they went to other places to do medical exam. We regrated many times that we chose to go to this place for exam, it is close to impossible to reach them when you need them, and even when you leave voice mail they will never call you back."

"Receptionist is very unfriendly and rude. First time here the other day for a check-up and she entered my birthdate wrong, which no one ever confirmed before administering influenza vaccine and taking blood sample. In return, did not send my prescription to my pharmacy when she said she did. Receptionist finally answered phone after multiple calls inquiring about my medicine not being at my pharmacy, then proceeded to tell me I must be wrong because she sent it to the right pharmacy apparently. Nurse practitioner, Elsa Negrin, was friendly but the disorganization of the place and disrespectful receptionist ruined my experience and made me uncomfortable. Will not go back."

"Excellent family practice. Dr. Valcarcel is an exceptional doctor. He spends adequate time with me during visits and listens well. Being the age of information and having online medical knowledge at our finger tips, Dr. V takes into account what I say about my health. It's so refreshing to have a humble doctor who doesn't believe he is God. Unfortunately there are not enough physicians with his bedside manner. Together we've developed a treatment plan that we both agree on and most importantly... Actually works. My life and health has changed so much since I began coming here 5 months ago. The office is clean and easy to find. Everyone is also bilingual. The nursing staff is excellent as well. The perform most labwork on site as well. I would recommend Monroe Medical Associates to anyone in need of primary care doctor."
