"You may want to think twice before hiring this company to paint the exterior of your house. Two men came on a Friday morning to power wash the house. The job they did was fine, but they left the outside spigot on. The hose wasn't attached correctly and the water ran for hours. They also left the gate open (fenced back yard) and my dog, who is a runner, could have gotten out. Thank goodness she didn't! The painters removed a bird nest the roof area and put it in my backyard without telling me. Apparently, it had baby birds in it. When I let my dog out, she went directly to the nest and ate the birds and began to eat the nest. She was vomiting for two days. The painters were sloppy, getting paint on the outside light fixtures, the shutters and the deck. When I pointed out the paint on the deck, one of the painters did remove it. The back side of the house right above the deck was not painted in spots. See attached pictures. Before I agree to hiring this company, I was told they would replace or repair any rotted wood. During the actual painting, when I asked about the rotted window sill on one of the basement windows, I was told they couldn't do that because the entire window frame would have to be replaced. The owner, Mike, agreed to paint the front steps as they are wood, and are attached to the house. They were gray and white. He stated he would buy paint and it would be extra for that paint, and I agreed. Whoever bought the paint bought an extremely light gray, that looks almost white. The man who painted the steps painted both the top and sides of the steps when it had been two toned before. When I said something to Mike about the side of the steps, he became angry and stated that I told him that I would take care of the sides. Why would I ever agree to do that on my own? I am a 63 year old single woman who has a disabling neurological condition! Mike became angry and stated that he was paying "hundreds of dollars in labor" for them to paint the steps. It took one man 1 hour to paint the tops and sides of the steps. Really! He said "you signed the contract." But where on the contract does it say that the steps are not included? When I told Mike I would write a separate check for them to complete the steps he had a hissy fit and told his worker to pack up, they were leaving. Wow! So I have a newly painted house in which I have to find someone else to paint the sides of the steps. I was also told they would clean up "as much as they could." They made no effort to clean up all of the paint chip from when they scrapped off the old, peeling paint. I will be picking up paint chips for years. Good customer service? No!"
