"If I could give this rating a 0, I would. Bug infested, no water pressure at all, couldn't even rinse off my toothbrush, water also didn't get warm or hot, horrific food with portions for toddlers. Unless you live in a box underneath a bridge, don't go here. The only good thing about this place are the nurses. This place is very understaffed and the pictures aren't true."
"hillside treatment is beyond a joke, during my stay i could tell after a few days that the staff had no clue what was going on and that may be do to the Bht supervisor(joe) being a complete jerk and incompetent leader."
"June is men’s mental health awareness month and pyramid is a duel diagnostic place so you would think they would acknowledge that nope they rather put up gay pride flags and there was not one mention of men’s mental health but hey what do I know I only spent the last month there!! There hasn’t been water for 3 weeks it’s on and off but mostly off especially during the day which is stupid instead of overnight! The techs listen to clients talking with each other and if they don’t like what ur saying they will write you up and it’s prolly gonna be a lie! The kitchen staff and food is a disgrace they rather be outside smoking then worrying about serving the clients they don’t care about ur allergies to food because they will give it to you everyday even after you told them a million times ur allergic to it they just don’t care or want to be bothered with it"
"I sent a kid here that they attempted to discharge after only 5 days of treatment and was honest that he felt he wasn’t ready. He was not allowed to make his weekly call so his mother contacted me concerned especially after she read the horrible reviews online. My team and I went to work trying to establish and make contact with people at this facility and were hung up on and met with nothing but resistance. 20 minutes after leaving a voicemail that I will use my power of constituency and will contact my state representatives to file a complaint he was allowed to phone home to inform his family and told them they were releasing him the next morning and wouldn’t get no medication the morning of release. Sometime shortly he was met with attitude and disrespect and told he can leave now if he wanted because he was getting released tomorrow. They gave him a hard time! They then released him with no ride home in the middle of the poconos after dark in flooded weather with no opportunity to call home for a ride. He was left to wonder until he found a bank close by and was confronted by Stroudsburg police. They escorted him to a McDonald’s where he could charge his phone and then he was finally able to make a call home to schedule a pick up. Horrible!!! Where’s the dignity and respect for your patients! He said he was locked to a hallway to just walk up and down while other people in treatment there were going through clear physical signs of withdraw. Patients were left locked to a room where they weren’t even monitored. He and some other patients took the responsibility to assist other patients because staff there wasn’t doing their responsibilities!!! I will not stop at these honest reviews! This place needs to be shutdown! Do not send your loved ones here. Anything could have happened to this young man and we would’ve never knew!"
"Dropping a loved one off at a detox is never easy. I placed my trust in a facility that I did not have much information about. Given that they were one of the few treatment centers that accepts state insurance, I placed my trust there. I was not the one in treatment. I can say that they took good care of my loved one. It wasn’t easy for him and he wanted to leave but I listened to their expert advise. They care about their patients. I have much gratitude toward Denise. She has compassion and she’s tough! If you have a loved one there, be patient with them and they will communicate with when it’s time. My loved one spent 40 days there & probably hated every moment. But he is still sober and in early recovery. They have a tough job there and don’t have time for those who don’t want to stay sober. But if a small part them does, perhaps your loved one will hate every moment there too and come home sober. I am very grateful to the staff."
