"Came here to drop off a package at 3:50 when the office closed at 4:30. After standing in line and getting to front I was told by an employee, Michelle (Black woman with short hair and glasses), to fill out a customs form for the package. I had never filled out a customs form and had some questions but Michelle was incredibly unhelpful. Following my completion of the customs form and waiting for other patrons to finish the time was 4:18. When I gave Michelle my filled out customs form and my package, Michelle rudely told me that she was doing this service as a “favor to me” because she didn’t take international packages after 4:00 pm (even though I spoke to her originally prior to 4:00). At this point I asked her if this policy was posted on the USPS website as the website gave no caveat to the 4:30 office closing time. She said that it was not on the website but that “this was how she ran her post office.” She then left in the middle of my final question as to whether my transaction was completed. I would think that a single employee doesn’t have the right to dictate rules, policy, or hours of an agency that is funded by taxpayer dollars. Furthermore this is not Michelle’s post office but rather the post office for the Plainsboro community. Horrible experience and severely unprofessional employee."
"Ordered a birthday name banner for my son’s birthday and the sender send it through registered mail which required a signature. The package was delivered on Monday, no one was of course at home to sign for it, the mail carrier left a notice with a wrong tracking number. On Thursday, my husband went to the post office to pick up the package, and the package, which was supposed to be a registered mail, got sent back to the sender in just THREE DAYS (normally registered mail needs to be hold for 14 days before return to the sender). But ridiculously, it happened!! And now the tracking has stopped updating since Friday, and my package may have been lost because of their careless mistake!! And yes, the African American lady on the front desk was very rude to customers! I cannot believe in a superb Plainsboro community we have such irresponsible post office. And given all the negative reviews here, nothing seem to be and won’t be fixed!!! Very sad and frustrating!!!"
"Find it interesting that every other post office closes at 3 PM on Saturday, some at 5 PM or later — and this one closes at 1:30 PM. Also on weekdays it closes at 4:30 PM before anyone gets off work which is quite revealing. Other post offices close after 5 PM - Princeton and Hightstown and some Hamilton USPS locations close at 7 PM. This Plainsboro location never holds mail even when you call them and they officially confirm with you. They are also very rude on the phone putting you on hold for a hour and hanging up on you. They also have one front desk person end early on Saturday so you have to wait for the one sole front desk person to handle your needs. They also look at you like it’s the end of the world when you walk into line. Some of them at the front desk can’t even speak English and when one advised me that a delivery will arrive Thursday, I thought she said in 31 days."
"WHY DO THE DELIVERY MAILPERSONS USE THE VEHICLES TO BLOCK THE ROADS AND RESIDENTIAL OR COMMERCIAL PARKING SPACES… Especially when they know they will be awhile sorting or delivering mail ? How would they like it if someone used a vehicle and blocked them in ? INCONSIDERATE !"
"The postal worker who serves my apartment complex is quite frankly terrible. There have been several occasions where he did not take my outgoing mail for over a week, but has put new mail in the mailbox. When I tried calling this office to be able to speak with a manager and report his poor work ethic the mailbox is full. This is my primary complaint but I think if this is this person‘s job and they are not doing it properly it deserves a one star review. Please fix the behavior. However, the people working in the post office itself have always been very kind and personable and there have been other postal workers I’ve spoken with who have shown nothing but friendliness and a desire to serve. So I am grateful for those other ones."
