"We have lived in Plainsboro for 9 years, from 1997 to 2006, and are well familiar with the trail. Unfortunately, calling it a "trail" would be more than far-fetched. Yes, you can stroll there, but essentially, you are walking in a neighborhood with townhouses, apartment complexes, and the back of the Plainsboro Meadows Shopping Center. At certain places, the townhouses are very close to the trail, creating a privacy intrusion feeling. The forrest on the other side of the trail features impenetrable thickets, so if you want to venture into the forrest, that's just impossible. The trail is not equipped with anything: no benches, restrooms, exercise stops, or picnic areas. Detailed signage is not available either. As of June 2023, it seems like the Maple Ave westerners part of the trail is closed. One can use the Lenape Trail easternmost parking lot opening on George Davison Rd."
"2 mile trial one way, closed at maple Avenue... Peace and pleasant for walking.."
"2.2 mile trail along the Plainsboro pond and cranburry brook, quiet and peaceful. Both ends have parking space, at times the parking can be full. Nice place for fishing. The trail closed on Georgedavison side for resurface, so that side’s parking lot closed too. It submerged under water on Aug 22, 2021 by TS Henri."
"Beautiful location for the walking trail. One mile of the trail has been resurfaced, however the mile closest to George Davison Rd has potholes and broken at the edges. Be careful in that section. Photo is a sunrise over the resurfaced section."
