"To thy own self be true"
"A Newtown staple, part of the heritage walk, The St Luke Episcopal Church sits on Washington Ave in Newtown. Well maintained, it is still active and keeps the public affection to God alive. It is a quick stop to look at the church and the effort and elaboration that went into its creation back in 1832."
"So glad I found St. Luke's following a year's hiatus from church. I look forward to going each week. Fr. Curtin's sermons are so thought-provoking and intelligent. And there seems to be no politics---thankfully. Very happy there."
"We've been going to St Luke's for several years and are very happy there. The people are very welcoming and friendly. The Sunday service is traditional Rite 1, which we're comfortable with. The choir tho' small (12 or so) have a truly powerful, exciting voice. Under the direction of Dr Nicholas Myneck, they do a wonderful job! For Christmas Eve and Easter we have a 9 piece orchestra, which adds to the beauty of the service. Our Rector, Fr Ernie Curtin is a marvelous speaker, who delivers inspiring sermons every week. All in all a great place to worship! Please come and join us!"
