"Eat here, you won't regret it! Forget about another boring taco night—enjoy some fantastic Polish cuisine instead. The food is delicious. The wait staff is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is casual yet refined. The head chef and staff are clearly dedicated to their craft. Nearly everything on the menu—bread, pickles, kielbasa, desserts, even a Polish spirit—is made in house and/or sourced fresh. I was lucky enough to try a big portion of the menu. The dishes and flavors are familiar but not at all boring. They offer fantastic vegan and vegetarian options. The plating and presentation is IG worthy (the unique handmade plates from Poland are gorgeous enough on their own). Bottom line, they're doing something special at this place and you're gonna want to try it and support it!"
"My friends and I have never had a true Polish restaurant experience until coming here. We were all delightfully surprised. I’ve never given the cuisine much thought but turns out I was mistaken for that. The interior is super cute, it’s small and the servers are very professional and nice, Michaela was super helpful and informative throughout our whole night. They start you off with fresh bread, dill butter and whipped pork fat, so so yummy. After, We had so many dishes, including the eggplant piergois were delicious, a tad spicy and super flavorful and soft. The potato/onion pierogi was more comforting, mild and traditional but still flavorful and buttery. The pickled herring was amazing, I ate it almost all myself it was “salty and tangy” my friend said. Paired with blackberries, roe and rhubarb. The kielbasa was smoky, juicy, and paired well with the mustard and delicious side pickle. The chicken cutlet was also its own star, its huge, boneless and beautifully crispy. The sauce was like a sweet vinegar vibe to me. Of course we had to order all the desserts. The peanut butter pierogies were chocolate based with a peanut butter potato inside and topped with ice cream and peanuts. Pretty yummy with chocolate sauce as well. The “water ice” was smoother than ice cream and soft serve and was super tart and delicious. The crunchy element added a nice flavor. The cheesecake reminded me of carrot cake and had a strong thick cream cheese flavor which I’m a fan of! Overall really enjoyed it and I think it did well to introduce me to Polish food for the first time! Definitely intrigued."
"I didn’t know Polish food could taste this good. I need to apologize for my horrible pictures. Little Walter’s bartender makes a very tasty Old Fashion. Little Walter’s custom made smoker/roaster/grill makes all of the magic happen. Everything comes out flavorful, tender and juicy. The piece of bread with amazing sauce got a picture because it was tender and a pleasure to eat. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pierogi topped with homemade ice cream. Sounds disgusting right?!?! I give you the Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure 5 star money back guarantee if you don’t like it!! - This is made up, I am trying to make a dramatic statement. - Little Walter’s, I liked it, I liked it a lot!!"
"Little Walter’s is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a very long time! Everything was top-notch. We were greeted immediately with a smile when we walked in the door and the knowledgeable, friendly staff checked in on us often throughout our meal. Beautiful solid wood tabletops, that we were told all came from the same tree, an exposed brick wall, that speaks to the history of the building, a modern open kitchen concept, and an exquisitely refinished church pew. What a cool combination of old world European mixed with modern style! The crowning touch is the framed marriage certificate of the owner’s Great grandparents next to their picture on the wall . And the food, that was incredible! Our kielbasa was flavorful, crispy on the outside and juicy and delicious on the inside with just the right amount of spice. The combination of the kielbasa, the tastiest mustard I have ever had, and the pickles which were just the right amount of sour and crispy, made a perfect bite. Next, we shared a plate of pierogies. Always a favorite, and these were no exception. So authentic, you could tell they were homemade. The stuffing inside wasn’t heavy, and again just the perfect blend of seasoning, cheese, and potatoes; the caramelized onions added just the right finish. Although we could not pronounce our next dish, the wieprzowina y rozna, we definitely enjoyed it! The rotisserie pork had such a flavorful crust on the outside and the kapusta (cabbage dish), was the perfect accompaniment. The picture I took was actually after we had already dug in, but you can still see the beauty and how it was served. Throughout our whole dining experience, the staff was courteous and very solicitous, checking on us often, and taking the time to explain and pronounce everything on the menu, including the authentic cocktails. And let me just say if you are a fan of gin cocktails you must try the.pszczelarz! Light, refreshing, and, oh so good! We finished our dining experience with two delicious desserts. The blueberry pierogies, which were served over an amazing homemade cream that was just the right blend of sweetness made this dessert. A light and tasty treat. We also sampled the sernik, the spiced honey cheesecake served with peaches on top; a truly divine dessert!. Can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu; judging by the happy faces on all of the people at the tables which were full all around us, this restaurant will soon become one of the hottest spots on the Philly restaurant scene!"
"The best Polish food I've ever had. Pierogi are almost better than my grandma's. The waitress was super informative and attentive. Pickle martini is also one of the best, and next time I'm thinking of trying it extra dirty. The homemade pickle brine is top notch."
