"I own my own home. Last year I moved in with my fiancé and rented my house out with a year’s lease. Within 30 days I found out my fiancé had been cheating on me for quite some time. I have no family to stay with so my daughter and I have been bouncing around waiting for our house to open. With 13 days left, the guy friend we were staying with told us to leave since I wouldn’t date him.. we packed up and New View was the only motel/hotel that would allow my 3 little pups. Upon pulling into the parking lot I started crying. It was a run down, scary looking place. The office side is not the renovated side.. the pictures on the website are only of the new units, which are $80 more dollars a week. I went to the office door which was locked with a sign to call a number for service. I called and a manager said he’d come up shortly. He came up.. totally unfriendly. I asked about the price differences and asked to see a room. He acted put out by this. The first room REEKED of smoke. The second room smelled slightly better.. tiny little outdated room, but was a place to sleep. I bawled while signing the papers and rented the room for a week. I saw several extremely scary looking men wandering around all over the outside.. my daughter and I took all of our things inside while these men watched us. I then asked the manager where we should take the pups potty? He pointed to a dumpster way at the complete opposite end of the parking lot and said over there. It was right next to BUSY highway. So back in the room I took my socks off to get comfortable because it was so hot in there. Immediately, I felt filth on my feet. I picked my feet up and looked and they were so gross with dirt and grime! I had brought some swiffer wet mop pads with me. I took one swipe on the floor and it came up BLACK. I went through the rest of the whole pack of mop pads until I ran out and they still came up black. Disgusting. My daughter said the sheets smelled like sweat upon laying in the bed. All throughout the night every noise I heard I thought for sure was one of the scary guys coming into our room to kill us. Thank God after I told my boss about this she offered us her whole basement to stay in until my house is available!! When I checked out I asked if they clean between guests. The manager said oh yes, every time. I told her what had happened and that the room was filthy. She apologized and was very nice. I asked about a refund for the days I paid for that I would not be staying. She said typically they don’t offer refunds on extended stays but since my room was gross she would call the owner. 2 hrs went by and I still didn’t hear from her so I called and told her I’d call back in the morning. When I called back I got the other manager, Jim. I asked if he’d been briefed on the situation and if he’d heard back from the owners. He was rude, very rude. He said you signed a paper said no refunds. I said I understand that but I didn’t want to stay another night because it was disgusting. He basically called me a liar and said that room was cleaned and was not dirty. I said that’s fine I’ll contact the owner. He said do what you gotta do I found out I work with a girl who personally knows the new owner. So I reached out to him through her. I sent him the nasty pics of my feet and the first mop pad.. He agreed to refund me $150. Said he only charged for two nights (even thigh I stayed one) and a cleaning fee. I laughed that I got charged a cleaning fee when I should’ve charged them a cleaning fee because that room was way cleaner when we left then when we got there! Also I thought it was really sketchy that they take cash ONLY and you cannot reserve on the phone. Must go in person and it’s a first come first served basis they said. 1000% do NOT recommend. The worst place I’ve ever stayed at in my life!!!!!!"

"By far the best place I’ve stayed for such a cheap price . Wonderful management , the lady Lynnea is beyond sweet and very helpful . She was more then happy to switch put my linens when needed . Was able to give me great advice of where to eat in the area. There is even a small food pantry in the office for tenants . The room was cleaned to perfection and smelled amazing when I walked in . Their new updated rooms are spacious and they have kitchens for easy cooking."

"Our extended stay at New View Stay & Suites, stemming from desperate circumstances, left us profoundly dissatisfied. Needing a place to live to avoid homelessness, we sought short-term housing for two adults during a challenging period. We ended up staying from February 7th through April 26th, 2024, Upon initially contacting New View, we learned that their most economical accommodations were situated in an un-renovated section of the motel, priced at $60 per day or $300 per week, with an additional $60 deposit required, payable in cash only. We were informed that updated non-smoking rooms with kitchenettes were available at a premium, though we ended up opting for the more affordable option. Prior to getting the room, we asked to view both the un-renovated and updated options to make an informed decision. Surprisingly, our request was met with reluctance, and although the manager allowed us to glimpse the rooms from the threshold, we were barred from stepping foot inside vacant rooms due to Covid concerns (February 2024!). Even with lowered expectations, our assigned un-renovated room was disappointing. It was notably cramped and outdated, with below-average cleanliness and maintenance standards. Old cigarette burns marred the floor, while drafty windows, buckling walls, and a decrepit dresser with unstable drawers further detracted from the accommodations. Throughout our stay, both the heating unit and hot water heater repeatedly malfunctioned, requiring multiple maintenance interventions to repair. Ironically, the room also lacked an air conditioning unit so during an early spring warm up, we endured uncomfortably high temperatures for 5 days reaching up to 87 degrees. No discount or other accommodation was offered to make up for the discomfort and inconvenience these issues caused. In terms of amenities, our expectations were again sorely disappointed. We were provided with only one set of worn-out, loosely fitting linens, one aged Christmas themed towel, and one stained washcloth, which proved insufficient given the absence of laundry services. While occasional interactions with New View staff members were pleasant, their overall demeanor remained gruffly inconsistent and unpredictable. Poor communication between the two managers compounded our frustrations, and their inflexible attitude hindered any attempt to address concerns. Repeated complaints were necessary to elicit responses to issues such as the heat, AC, a malfunctioning TV with limited channels, a clogged toilet, and more. To make matters worse, after staying there for over a month, they refused to accommodate a request for a two-hour payment leeway, showing their lack of empathy and willingness to work together. Prior to checking out, we cleaned the room carefully to ensure it was returned in a similar condition to when we received it. But during the inspection by the manager, we were astonished to hear her attempting to shift blame onto us for damages caused by the motel’s own poor policies and management. She falsely claimed that the Christmas towel wasn’t theirs, that we were issued two sets of other towels (which we were not), and alleged that the sheets were ruined due to being dirty and stained. Given that the motel does not wash the sheets and we are certain about towel debacle, it was extremely frustrating to have our honest experience dismissed by gaslighting. Despite our efforts to be responsible guests and their ongoing shortcomings during our stay, half of our $60 deposit was withheld, leading us to lose all respect for the establishment. This incident further highlights the lack of accountability and integrity displayed by the staff of New View Stay & Suites. In summary, our experience at New View was less than stellar and leaves us with disappointing memories of an already challenging time in our life. Despite anyone’s extenuating circumstances, the combination of subpar facilities, poor management, and a lack of basic amenities makes it difficult to recommend this establishment to others."
