"Rude staff at the permit office. Also you want a company to have your name on their insurance and have a 20 k bond with your name and a city business license to come into town to do work ? If a company has a state license and insurance and does work all over Illinois and no other town asks for this to do a fence . This why people won't come into your town and do work for your city home owners . You ask all this when a company already has all the above but why would they need to add your city name to insurance and get a bond with your city name when working on a home owner home not your city owned property? Good luck as I hear about this now alot about this town and people are talking . No wonder companies refuse to come from out of your town and do the work a home owner needs unless they jump through your hoops and stand at a clerk window to get nothing but looks. Also stop telling home owners that's standard practice cause you can reach out to all town that surround and all through Illinois and find this to be false . Plenty of business owners complaining about this city rule and ways you pull permits off to force people to walk !"
