Reviews
"Such an interesting historical site. Fascinated by the construction elements and the household implements. Well decorated and furnished with period pieces."
"Fantastic piece of St Louis history."
"So much history here. Hard to imagine what this area looked like in 1790. No White Castle or Starbucks? Unlivable."
"I ooo. Ok oohb"
"The Taille de Noyer House is an antebellum home that relates the heritage and history of Florissant. The original rough-hewn lumber cabin, built in 1790, was expanded, then again, then again -- numerous times. The rough timbers were simply plastered over and are, in fact, part of the current structure (and visible on the interior today as they were in 1790). It is believed to be one of the oldest remaining homes in St. Louis County. While few of the current furnishings belonged to the original owners, they are in fact donations of other area residents, and their gifts underscore the community's efforts to preserve this valuable site."
