"I took my daughter to a GI Dr linked to slucare. The dr was awesome but everything else was awful. They charged the visit as an outpatient hospital visit instead of a regular dr’s office visit. So instead of being charged my 15$ copay, I was charged my deductible of 150$. After going round after round with the Insurance company, I was told what they are doing is legal but not ethical. So I then decided To speak to slucare billing. I was transferred multiple times to other people and other departments. Still no help. Spoke to some very rude people along the way. My next step was to go to patient relations. He promised he would help me and get back to me within a few days. A week later, I hear from a nurse at the drs office who said she wasn’t sure why my case was given to her since she is only a nurse. Never heard back from patient relations. And. It’s been 5 weeks and still haven’t heard from the nurse who promised she would get back to me also. I highly recommend another hospital or facility. I have never had this issue and have seen multiple drs over the past few year."
"Worst ever. We had to get in touch with our primary care doctor for high blood pressure issue after a er visit, only to have someone ( front desk) pretending to be a nurse tell us they would call us back. An hour later and no call back to us. So, we call them back only to find out that the office are close. And another person push up off to urgent care instead of trying to get us the right care."
"Had an appointment for my Mother at 11:00am. The nursing home had to bring here, wheel chair bond, 74 broken ankle. The driver was caught in traffic called the office and me while in the waiting room. Driver said he would be about 10 to 15 late. everything was ok at that time. Mother got there at 11:11am and we could not sign her in. Come to find out they cancelled her appoint because of 15 minutes late at 11:11 and four floors up. I did not know 11:11 meant 11:15 SHE WAS NOT LATE. In short, I took off work, lost money, gas and time. I had to pay the driver from Nursing home to St, Clair about an hour each way plus the pain Mom was in and she never seen a Dr they would not even find one the group. I was told I can reschedule a week from now. FOLKS PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS!"
"I will NEVER ..use this group ever again. I also NEVER leave reviews on any companies. That being said, be careful using the doctors in this group. I had really good insurance and ended up being over charged for specialist visits more than once. My insurance company had to fight with them the first time and ended up getting them to adjust the cost to what it was actually supposed to be. The outpatient visit was "coded" as affiliated with a hospital and instead of paying my 40$ co pay for the specialist visit, they are trying to charge me $188 and $81 for two separate visits. This way it will go towards my deductible so they can recieve more money from me. I contacted my insurance company who was unable to get them to change the coding for the second time, mind you..after they already adjusted it once and admitted that this time they were going to code it this way regardless. I then contacted the billing dept who had no answers for me and gave me the runaround . I explained that we did not visit a hospital and took them to an outpatient visit just like the many times before. I asked for them to investigate the issue and instead I ended up in collections after disputing this for months. I explained to both the hospital and the collections agency that I have absolutely no problem paying the two co pays for the check up but will not be paying the extra $269 I am being charged because the building is apparently affiliated with a hospital. BE VIGILANT!!! when dealing with these crooks and watch the bills that they send, they will always attempt to try and blame it on the insurance company, even though they have already been caught coding it two different ways. I and my family will NEVER be using them again, and if you do make sure you are paying attention to what you actually owe through your insurance provider. They will attempt to code procedures and visits to a "hospital visit" to squeeze extra money out of you! I couldn't believe it when it happened to me. So now I am dealing with collections who are supposedly investigating the whole thing now. I asked them why did it take a collections agency to investigate this? ...no real answers from anyone. Just keep blaming it on my insurance company. Also I have never in my life been sent to collections, unbelievable that it's over my three year old sons check up. (I do want to make sure that anyone reading this understands that at no point did I have any issues with the doctors. In fact they were great!) Good luck to anyone else, maybe your luck is better. But by the overall rating of these crooks I would surmise it won't be."
"I had an appointment to see my surgeon. They kicked me out of the building for no mask, even thought there aren't any Gov mask mandates and I wouldn't let them take my temperature at the door. That's twice this year they have kicked me out. Oh well, I'll take my business elsewhere. SLU will never get my business again. My surgeon lost a customer in the middle of treatment too. Everyone I know will hear my story about what happens at SLU."
