"I thought this doctor would be different. She was highly recommended to me by a coworker. I went to her for a full physical. I suspected I could have Cushing Syndrome. I told Dr Yvonne Layugen of my suspicions and she said “You have to have a pituitary tumor for that.” At which point I told her that I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor 15-20 years ago. She sent me for an MRI and it was confirmed there is a benign tumor on my pituitary gland. When I went for a follow up she blew me off. She said it wasn’t big enough to cause problems, didn’t order any follow up testing and essentially refused to treat me. I have been suffering with symptoms for more than 20 years. Cushing syndrome could eventually kill me if not treated. I had really hoped she would help. I am now interviewing other doctors."
