"A beautiful church and a lovely community. Sundays after the 8am mass in the parish hall having coffee and chatting with friends is my family's favorite time of the week."
"Historic St Rose of lima Roman Catholic Church in Quincy ill FSSP parish. This parish is pretty welcoming. I am at the doors at 730am every Sunday for 15 yrs, and i meet every person on Sunday. The paish hall behind the church is open after both Sunday masses for coffee and donuts for everyone."
"Hands down the coldest, most uninviting atmosphere. I’ve attended Mass daily, for the last thirty days, and not a single parishioner has said hello. The priests disappear immediately after Mass. Altogether a peculiar parish. The building itself is magnificent."
"I love this church! I've been going for over 12 years and I've loved every bit of the church. Including the look of the internal and exterior, the area around, and the people. I have been told that the people aren't as welcoming, but these people are truly there to worship God and I respect every aspect of it. If you want to talk, that is for the hall, not the church. That's all!"
"I visited this weekend from Saints' Peter & Paul in Tulsa. A very pretty parish with amazing stained glass. Father gave a homily on the Latin calendar and the problems that caused the aftermath of Vatican II, very infinitive and thought provoking. He seems strict in a way I wish all priest would be."
