BikeLink : Rivers Edge Park and Ride

"It is a good place to park. I was not a fan of the trail. I went south on 7th Ave to get on the Confluence Trail. After getting onto the trail, still going south, it dives down onto a construction site. Here the trail goes through the square shaped tunnel (choose any one as there is a whole line of them), then past the porter potty. Lastly, back up hill to continue the trail. After this stretch I noticed a sharp pain in my upper leg but kept going. On the way back the sharp pain occurred in the exact same spot on the trail. I looked up and thought; could this be arcing from the power line that runs above the trail through my bike? The pain has never occurred again. I then turned west to cross the McKinley Bridge. There was a lot of broken glass. I was lucky I didn't get a flat tire. The bridge itself was nice, but inadvertently featured a lone pair of pants with underwear in them. I then went north on the Mississippi Greenway. This was a nice part of the trail. There were only a few people on this trail and I didn't see anyone else using the trail on the Illinois side. This is my experience going south, so perhaps try going north from this parking lot."
