"Primitive fishing hole that should be used at your own risk. The ramp is not well maintained , and there are no facilities. The top of the ramp is currently covered in old river dirt and the lower end of the ramp is covered in mud/silt. It was a better fishing hole before the county came in. The parking area across the street has been covered in gravel (an upgrade) and is in better shape than the ramp. However. irresponsible patrons have had fires out there, and one of the corners has hundreds of nails. Park at your own risk. Worst of St Charles County "parks"."
"We went here hoping to go kayaking on the Cuivre River August 1st of 2024. The walkway down to the river was covered with inches of mud after recently flooding. The parking situation is confusing. It looks like there is no place to park but across the street there is a gravel parking lot. On the river side it is a loading zone and only has one handicap parking site. I called the county parks department and mentioned to them they need a sign letting people know where the parking is."
"When you pull in the lot, there is one parking spot labeled for handicapped, and the entire rest of the lot is labeled No Parking. It's kind of strange, so I'm not sure where people would leave their car if they wanted to go on the water in a kayak or canoe, or go fishing. As expected, there isn't much else here, but the river is pretty."
"Very primitive fishing hole. Once you park if you go under the bridge on the other side, it's set up fairly nice if you want to get comfortable with some chairs or to swim even."
"Not good for fishing let alone anything else other than to park under some trees with no park bench and neighbor with video cameras on you. I won't need to come back here."
