"Gorgeous mancion! One of the top Newport mancions! Always love coming here! Also, conventient location on the main street with its own spacious parking. There is an incredible charm in every single room. My favorite is the dining room - probably one of the finest examples I've ever seen. I can compare it to Saint-Petersburg (Russia) palaces. Highly recommend to visit! ❤️ they have a great gift store, too! Also, I highly recommend to get a membership. If you do, register on the website and get it online. Easy to keep track and access to it."

"We adore the Elms Mansion. We took a special Tour, the servant's Tour. We got to see the servant's quarters and tour the rooftop & basement. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and answered all of our hard-hitting questions. The rooftop was our favorite part of the tour. There is a deck you can walk out on and see the ocean boats and other Mansions in Newport. The basement was awesome, there was a coal cart on a track. They would load the cart from the street where no one could see. The house was built to look like it operated by magic. It was stunning and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves history. You must buy your tickets online for the special tour and I'd recommend doing it in advance."

"This is my favourite of the Gilded Age cottages! Not only is the house a delight, the grounds are just lovely when you find one of the huge beech trees to sit and ponder life over 100 years ago. Thank goodness for the Newport Preservation Society to save this place from demolition in the 1960’s! It’s a national treasure!"

"This Gilded Age home was beautiful. The rooms were huge. The sunken garden in the back of the house had beautiful statues and flowers. You have to visit where the horse stables are. And of course I found the perfect spot to ask my girlfriend now fiancee to marry me. There us so many locations for this type of stuff. The Elms is a must see when in Newport RI."
