"I was a member of FP Milton UU from 1988 - 2013 and enjoyed it immensely. My original minister was Mark Harris, who was followed, after a few interim Ministers, by Rev. Parisa Parsa. Having been raised UU in NYC in the 1960s, I knew that joining a congregation after moving to Boston in 1988 could provide a leg up in putting down roots with a new home, new job, marriage and blended family. Joining FPMUU was the best personal decision I've ever made. The sermons were consistently excellent, the other members wonderful and welcoming and, in my specific case, the Music program was thriving under the leadership of Emma Jean Moulton playing the magnificent Flentrop organ in the Meeting House. I sang in the Choir across all of my years as a member. At one point, I was Parish Chair (in the early 90s?) for 2 consecutive years, thus creating a new habit at FPMUU of having continuing leadership on the Parish Committee, as opposed to changing leaders every year. Given my experiences plus those of my wife and step children, FPMUU was a vital and critical part of our lives for many years. I miss it often and only came to appreciate its unique qualities later when I visited other UU Churches in new locations, including my current home in Metro Phoenix, Arizona. FPMUU is wonderfully historic and provides a comprehensive and welcoming spiritual community. I'll sing my praises of it for the rest of my days I am quite certain."
"Great little church for the area! Lots of friendly people, non-denominational as are all UU churches, and Reverend Lisa is great. Drop in if you want to find your new local church!"
"I attended for a memorial service. It is a lovely old church with boxed pues and good enough accoustics. It was a great setting for the moving service."
"Very nice church. Very nice people. Beautiful building. Well run, peaceful. Good food, substance to be found in sermons and everything surrounding it. Recommend."
"First Parish is a special place of inclusion, hope and inspiration. If you're ever in the area on a Sunday morning give yourself a gift. Go and take a spiritual shower at this church! I promise you will find yourself lifted and refreshed as I've found every time I've gone there."
