"Claims to allow you to begin a rental online, but does not leave your unit unlocked. Claims the office is staffed monday to friday, but nobody is in the middle of the day. I just paid $170 dollars for absolutely nothing. I guess I have to call corporate now."
"It is funny how CubeSmart responds to my review saying they want me to contact them to 'look into it'. When literally they can just go to the facility and see the burnt out lights, the broken soap dispenser, how dirty things are, and look at their own employee timesheets to know when someone is working there or not. I have added some pictures since CubeSmart seems to need help in finding these issues in their own facility. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I first rented over a year ago and am in the process of moving to another facility. When I first moved in there were these 2 great ladies, Kathleen and Carol. They were always so helpful and kept the facility so clean. The situation today: they only have one site manager who is not there a lot of the time. The place is getting dirtier. There was a power surge LAST SUMMER and a lot of the lights have yet to be fixed. The light outside my unit does not work so the inside was extra dark. They have rodents inside the ceiling which I have heard on multiple evenings. The bathroom soap dispenser broke off the wall and hasn't been fixed in 2 months. Light bulbs in the elevator have been burned out for at least 4-6 months. The main access gate was broken and stuck open for weeks a couple months ago. The place has a severe mosquito problem because they are attracted to all the lights at night. The paper towels to dry your hands have been empty for weeks. The trash can was changed to a much smaller one months ago that is always overflowing. But not so much recently due to there being no paper towels to dry your hands. The manager Anthony has been pleasant when I have been able to see him, but clearly they need 2 full time staff and he is being sent to multiple locations. To top it all off I just got a notice of a rate increase. Which seems weird considering I see tons of available units when I'm walking to mine. It would not take much to bring this facility back to what it was a year ago. But clearly CubeSmart doesn't want to staff it appropriately."
"25% rate increase after 7 months. I opted to downsize. I waited 1.5 hrs for someone to show up during office hours to release a smaller unit. I was charged a rate higher than the reserved rate. After escalating the issue the next day I was given the promised rate and refunded the difference. They get one star for that, but lose it again for making me work for what was promised. While waiting the hour + for someone to show up, I found months worth of filth in the bathroom. It took staff five tries to program my elevator code leaving me stuck between floors with loads of stuff multiple times. She ended up giving me her code since she couldn't get it right. Oh yeah, and rodent traps throughout. The only reason they get two stars is because after multiple calls, I stumbled upon an out of state manager that was nice enough to help. Spare yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere."
