"Absolutely the most INCOMPETENT town manager and employees that work here."
"I wanted to take a sofa to the town tranfer station. When you go to the website, it takes you to a generic city of Salem web page. So there are no instructions on what to do. I take the old sofa down to the transfer station during open hours and the guy at the gate tells me I need a permit from city hall! Which is closed until Monday. How ridiculous is that? Windham sells their permit stickers at the transfer station! And Rochester (where I moved from) just needs to see proof of residency, no permit required. Now I have nowhere to take this Sofa. What an incompetent system. Not to mention the guy at the gate was rude and not helpful. He just chuckled and closed his window. What an incompetent system."
"Good luck renewing the registration on your car if you work Monday through Friday a half hour away and work until 4pm. Got there at 435pm no one in line no one at any of the three open windows and still wouldn’t do it for me."
"You would be surprised that public service associates can be so accommodating and understanding, helpful and willing to do beyond their duty to help fellow citizen. I had big issue with water sewage cover on the street in front of my house that turned into a pothole and created a hazard and made great noise when trucks went over it waking up my little baby non stop. Upon many calls Jeff from Muncipal services step by and looked at the issue. Yes, he acknowledged it’s the issue that we have on many streets here in Salem NH but he listened my problems and what that caused to my family. Even though his college said there is no much can be done Jeff was gone just to be back half hour later to call me and inform me he tried to fix it as much as he could. He covered pothole with new asphalt so that at least temporarily my family does not have noise and that drivers are safe! Hey, he was awesome. Wish I got his last name but his superiors should know that associates like Jeff change public opinion about public services. Thank you Jeff. Bogdanic family from Lawrence rd."
