"From the quote through completion of work, Michael was thorough, professional, and a true expert in his craft. His pricing was fair and he kept his scheduled start date for the work. He worked well within our budget, making recommendations that would give us the most value for our money. A quote we received from another contractor was $3,000+ more! Even when some of the materials were delayed at the mill, which is out of his control, he worked with us to start the work on schedule and completed the items with no impact to our own schedules. The work quality is unbeatable. We have a house that is at least a hundred years old with soft plaster walls and that has settled over time. All of this makes carpentry extremely challenging. Additionally, some of the trim and other material styles used when the house was built are no longer commercially available. Michael took the initiative and modified standard trim, that is commercially available, to closely resemble the existing trim of our home. This is very rare as most carpenter's would pick the closest one available and not go through the effort to make it resemble the existing trim...as I'm sure you have gathered at this point, Michael is not most carpenters. This saved us a significant amount of money as we would have required expensive custom milled trim to match our existing. Throughout the process, he cleaned up after his work and there was minimal impact to living areas which was really important since we were still living in the house during the work. What stands out the most is the finish work on the trim and walls. We have a lot of ornate trim throughout the house which does not fit up easily and all of the joints and seams are impeccable. Additionally, we had a lot damage to our walls that required patching and repair. They were repaired so well I can't even find where the damage originally existed! As an engineer, I am very precise and closely monitor details. Michaels work exceeds all of those standards and provides a lasting quality that you don't always see in that industry. If you are looking for precise, high quality work at a fair price, Michael should be your first call. He is now our go to for all remodeling and carpentry work at our home!"

"If I could give Mike 10 stars I would do it because he earned that. This was the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a contractor. I originally hired Mike to replace my 2 front doors. He was punctual, respectful and patient with me as I asked questions. The installation went better than I expected - my home is always full of surprises. Because of this I decided to hire him to replace a leaky window. Again, he guided me through this process as the window needed to be a special order. Mike took care of that and kept me informed. What a difference it made! Again, he exhibited the same qualities from the first project. Then I contacted him a third time to either paint or side my home. After consulting with him and weighing the options I decided to have my home sided. He thoroughly explained all the different options available and answered all my questions without hesitation. When I was unsure he suggested that we go outside to look at the samples in the daylight (something I would not have thought to do). That made the difference and I finally made a decision. Mike arrived when he said he would and if he could not work because of the weather he always let me know. He left my yard in pristine condition each night. I am so happy with the results. As a result of his hard work, my house is much warmer and quieter also. HUGE bonus. Anyone who would like to hire a contractor with the "old fashioned" values of service to the customer and a job well done should not go anywhere else in my opinion. I will definitely be hiring him for my next project as soon as I decide what that will be."
