"After all the hype on Walden Pond I was deeply disappointed. We visited on a weekday, not one parking spot, huge signs that say $30 out of state parking! Really? We drove around finally finding a spot, we really just wanted to look at the Pond, and That's another story. Signs stating "Bacteria contamination, No Swimming Allowed" but people were swimming, tons of them, and not following the rules. The lady at the visitor center said you can park for 20 mins. A nd not have to pay, we didn't even stay that long. Some of the most prettiest places are be g destroyed, Thoreau would be devastated!"
"Wow. Talk about beautiful. A must see. Formed by glaciers 10-12,000 years ago. Beautiful place to sit and relax, swim or take a walk."
