October Farm Riverfront

Welcome to October Farm Riverfront, a stunning natural oasis located at 265 Balls Hill Road, Concord, Massachusetts. This unique park is a collaborative effort between the Town of Concord and the Land Trust, designed to preserve an exquisite landscape along a mile-long stretch of the Concord River. Spanning 80 acres, October Farm Riverfront offers a diverse network of trails that lead visitors through fascinating eskers, historic artifacts such as a stone canoe house and cabin foundations, and serene wooded flood plains.

This picturesque area was acquired through generous private donations, the support of Concord residents, and a grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Ownership is shared between the Town, which manages 33 acres, and the Land Trust, overseeing 47 acres.

October Farm Riverfront is a haven for bird and wildlife enthusiasts, featuring vibrant habitats, vernal pools, and breathtaking river views. The trails vary in difficulty, with some easy paths and others offering steep challenges. Please note that some areas may experience seasonal flooding.

Visitors are welcome to explore this beautiful park, but we kindly ask you to respect the natural and historical elements by not removing plants, wildlife, stones, or artifacts. Please carry out any litter and dog waste, and observe posted restrictions regarding horses and bicycles. Camping, fires, and hunting are prohibited unless special permission is granted, and motorized vehicles are not allowed except for ADA access.
