"The whole experience with this business has been a painful eye opener. It's been almost a month since she made a cake for my mother's event, that turned into a total ridicule right infront of my guests, and she's made no effort whatsoever to rectify anything nor show even the slightest level of responsibility or compassion. When you contact a business owner and you start seeing signs that there may be a problem, if you do nothing else, listen to your gut! At first she has no other means to reach her except through DMs on Instagram. If you message her you need to hope she sees it soon and replies soon. Most of the time it would take 3-4 days before she responds. The owner is quite rude and dismissive. I was desperate to have this cake done as my event was 3 weeks away. Much of the delay came from her not responding to DMs right away. And when she did she was very cold and dismissive, especially if you requested anything that was out of her 'policy'. From the moment I sent her photos of what I was looking for, and trying to customize the look I wanted, she was not accommodating to changes. There were designs she wouldn't do, you could only do this or that. Everything was black or white. So I settled for a cake where the actual element that made the cake stand out, she would not do. She recommended a substitution I did not like, so we decided to stick with the cake in it's very basic format, with gold flecks and fresh flowers. Communication throughout the ordering process was quite frustrating. She would respond to me days after I sent a question, completely oblivious to the fact that she was late in responding, yet throwing blames and all sorts of complaints and giving excuses on her busy schedule. To cut a very long story short, the day before cake delivery I asked if we were all set for 5pm delivery. Confirmed. An hour before delivery time she dm'd me telling me she had a 'flat tire' (which she later referred to as an "accident") and was gonna be late as she was waiting for her husband to come help. As worried as I was that I had ignored all the signs and now we had problems i was still patient. She finally brought the cake maybe an hour or so late and quickly stuck it in the fridge. After showing me the cake in the fridge when I got there, she did final touches and was about to leave when a family member alerted me the cake was tilted. In my overwhelmed state of mind with last preparations for the party that was about to start, I neglected to take an overall 360° assessment of the cake. From my vantage point looking straight at the cake sitting in the refrigerator I could not see the tilt. Gianna has used this as her defense, saying i approved the cake. Within 2 hours after cake was brought out we were alerted that the cake was almost collapsing. It had gradually tilted until it was about to fall. We had to hurry for my mom to cut it to save us some embarassment, even though hundreds of guests had already seen the cake going down. Gianna won't take any responsibility for messing up a $400+ order. She stopped responding to my dms. She thinks we 'did something ' to the cake, as bizarre as that sounds. Very poor and unprofessional way of handling any customer."
"I would not recommend at all this cake literally looks like something a first grader would make. Emailed me the address 24 hours prior telling me to be on time as they have other orders to deliver which I completely understand (her policy) just for me to get a text 2 hours before pick up asking if I can come later due to family obligations. After arriving I literally waited 20 minutes for her to bring the cake down and literally watched her come down to get the box for my cake and go back up. When I got home with the cake and was finally able to inspect it, I see it clearly looks rushed and last minute. As multiple of my guest were confused about the appearance of the cake as well. When I text her about being dissatisfied with the cake instead of taking accountability she throws her policy and me agreeing to it in my face. She tells me that based on the reference photos I sent what I wanted was not a style that she does. And then tells me that I was her only order for the day and that so she used the extra time to “elevate” my cake when 24 hours prior you you literally told me to arrive promptly because you had other orders. Also if you asked me to come later because you had family obligations why were you working on my cake and not at said obligation? And why would you not tell me prior to booking if you don’t/can’t do a certain style. As the conversation continues she keeps on sending me screenshots of the emails that I sent when I was placing the order for the cake as if I wasn’t already aware of what I said. Me agreeing to your price and conditions doesn’t excuse the fact that you objectively produced a mediocre product. Me paying $175 for a cake is not a problem but I expect the cake to look worth $175 it’s the principle. She asks me if I want to return the cake and when I ask if I am getting a refund she ghosts me. Absolutely horrible experience. You can see it in the pictures how horrible it looks and it’s borderline disrespectful to give a customer a cake like that. Literally everyone I show this cake to laughs and think a child decorated it."
"Firstly, poor communication from the owner. She disregarded all of my simple requests, and we had to settle for less. I made peace with that, but when she came to deliver the cake, even the smallest freckles of gold that I asked for were not on the cake. Fortunately, she was able to do it at the venue. Prior to the cake delivery, she claimed to have gotten into a car accident so she would be late. I completely underestimated the effect that impact and heat could have on the cake due to many other things occupying my mind, and that is my mistake. I missed the initial drop off, so I only saw the cake from a certain angle in the fridge and it looked okay. However, my relatives were informing me that there was a tilt to the cake. I asked her about this, she lied and said it was fine. The cake was kept in the fridge for a few hours, but it had to be quickly cut earlier because it was now at a complete slant. It was horrible. When I tried to bring this to her attention, in addition to her poor communication, she completely disregarded her fault in this. Claiming that we were to blame for not following the after care. But if there is poor structure from the start, how would the cake survive all night? Overall, terrible service, rude owner. I do not recommend."
"Ordered my birthday cake this year from Sweet Kreations by Gianna and she didn’t disappoint! My cake came out exactly how I envisioned it. Not only was my cake pretty and perfect for my mini celebration, it tasted delish. Honestly one of the best cakes I’ve had in awhile! Looking forward to ordering future cakes from her ! Photo definitely doesn’t do the cake justice. It had the perfect shimmer from the glitter in the frosting !"
"Gianna was very professional, timely in her responses, and my order was ready on time. The cake itself was so pretty and tasted delicious! I felt pricing was fair. I picked up my cake but delivery is offered. She provided instructions on how to protect the cake during transit (any defects seen in picture are because of me, cake topper purchased from amazon my me). I would definitely order from her again."
