"Be very careful when buying from this place. It's a 50/50 chance you'll get something decent. We have been here a few times when i work in the area, and their croissants are nice. But we have gotten a few less than stellar items before today. We went in on 8/24/24 and grabbed one of their mini banana cream pies, a tiramisu slice and a brownie. Brownie was delicious. You can't really mess it up. But the banana cream pie was a different story. We dug into it and at first the whipped cream and the filling were delicious, but we got further into it and taste something sour. There were real bananas chopped into it, but they were sour as if they had gone bad, and it soured the rest of the surrounding pudding. We checked to see what the date on the pie was but we discovered no date or indication of when it was made. Who knows how long it's been sitting there. A bakery should be more responsible on checking how long their pastries have been waiting on the shelf, especially if they have fresh fruit in it. Last time I'm coming here, too many disappointments. And dates should be written on prepackaged items, just to better keep track of things."
"Ew - just saw a review on Facebook that someone received a fermented and moldy cake?? I've come here a few times and the first time, they were cashing out the register 30min early and said were closed, and the second time, the cake was dried out. Kondeitermeister (spelling) is way better."
"I’m updating this review in response to Montillios response. SEE BOTTOM. Hit or miss. I have been going there specifically for the “Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins” for about a year now. In the beginning they were awesome, now not so much. The original recipe For blueberry muffins calls for mashed and whole blueberries, which they skip the mashed part. Over the past few months the muffins have gotten worse. They look like they are loaded with blueberries on the outside but when you cut it there are barely any on the inside. Very disappointing. And sometimes they are overcooked. I’ve also noticed that the baker on the weekend does a better job. Not as overcooked and more blueberries on the weekend. Consistently is the #1 thing that makes a food establishment successful. If you’re going to market them as Jordan Marsh muffins and At $4.50 per muffin I expect just that, the recipe to be followed with quality and consistency. RESPONSE: thank you for responding to My review so quickly. My pics are absolutely the Jordan Marsh muffins. I ONLY buy the muffins from behind the counter. I ask for a Montillios box every time and purchase between 4-6, depending on the day. I know the muffins that you are referring to, I purchased them 1 time and did not like them."
"The delivery was great! The guys were cordial and punctual. The cake tasted as good as it looked. 2 layers and 2 different cakes. Each one was fabulous!"
"This is the first time I have been in this place, I was planning to get a coffee at this place, but i changed my mind after I walked in to the place. It’s not only a coffee shop it’s a pastries shop. There are so man different kinds of breads rolls and pastries and also they have pizzas and sandwiches for lunch, the place is small but it is clean and organize. There are three cashiers and they are super friendly. After I got served and the cashier reminded me that where the straws are because I got a coffee. This is a great place for you to have coffee and quick lunch, I will be back to the place!"
