"A really great new bakery and coffee shop in Kendall. The baristas are well trained to make the right coffee, pastries are solid, sandwiches good as well. Usually there’s outdoor seating available."
"One of my new go-to bakeries in Cambridge. Ever since PRB opened this new outpost in Kendall Square last fall, it's become my regular spot for breakfast and lunch. Over the past months, they've expanded their food menu, and since it’s conveniently situated next to Batifol, it shares a similar selection of lunch sandwiches and salads, but at slightly more affordable prices. While I haven't tried much of their expanded menu yet, their small sandwiches have been excellent. The croissants, used as the base for these sandwiches, have the perfect balance of buttery richness and flaky texture, and my favorites so far have been the Salmon Avocado sandwich and the Avocado Tartine. From their pastries, my favorites include the Paris Brest, Blueberry Tart, and the trendy new Croissant Cookie. The croissant in the 'Cookie' variation, while not as buttery as those in the sandwiches, compensates with a satisfying crunch, and it perfectly complements the gooey chocolate filling inside. The only area where they fall short, in my opinion, is their drinks, particularly the lattes. I find them consistently too mild for my taste, and despite frequent visits over several months, I haven't noticed much improvement. That said, I'd still highly recommend this place as a fantastic alternative to Tatte for anyone in search of quality French pastries and sandwiches."
"A surprisingly spacious place to enjoy pastries and drinks. I got a plain croissant and it had the perfect texture. I also ordered an iced chai latte, but while I ended up with a hot latte, it tasted good so I wasn't too bothered. I went on a Saturday afternoon and while it was busy, we managed to find seats. It seems to be a popular place for people to work on their computers. I would definitely come back with a book and try out more of their offerings!"
